  Organisées à Luxembourg tous les deux ans depuis 1980, les journées Lotharingiennes rassembent des chercheurs pourtraiter d'un aspect de l'histoire sociale, politique, culturelle médiévale dans le cadre de l'ancienne Lotharingie. La session de 2016 sera consacrée à l'étude de l'émergence du pouvoir princier entre X^e et XII^e siècles.

  The fiscal nature of war? Constraints, innovations and resistances

  Les prochaines journées du cycle « Les Finances, un ministère en guerre, un ministère dans la guerre (1914-1918) » sous la direction scientifique de Florence Descamps (EPHE) et Laure Quennouëlle (CRH / CNRS) auront lieu les 11 et 12 février 2016. Elles seront consacrées à la question des impôts et des taxes pendant la Grande Guerre. Ces journées sont intitulées « Une fiscalité de guerre ? Contraintes, innovations, résistances ».

  The Allied Occupation of Germany Revisited

  New Research on the Western Zones of Occupation, 1945-1949

  The Allied occupation of Western Germany after the Second World War has long constituted a classic component in academic histories of post-war Germany. After having been the subject of sustained scholarly attention in the 1970s and 1980s, the subject has subsequently faced a decline in academic interest. This two-day conference is intended to showcase new research and provide a forum for the presentation of innovative approaches to the history of the three western zones of occupation. It also aims to stimulate dialogue between historians of the different zones of occupation and so bring together hitherto almost entirely segregated historiographies. We are inviting papers from both emerging scholars and established specialists.
