  The dark sides of the law in common law countries

  The Panthéon-Assas University “Law and Humanities” research centre (a part of CERSA) is pleased to announce its first international conference to be held in Paris (France) on June 15-17, 2017. As an interdisciplinary group working on the connections between law and politics, economics, and literature, we are seeking papers exploring the dark sides of the law from a wide range of perspectives in the United Kingdom, the United States and Commonwealth countries.

  Special Issue

  Music is a space of possibilities, a realm of cross-cultural events where interpretation is deeply rooted in history and societal evolution. The main complexity is to analyze the coded meaning and view how the same signs, notions and concepts are appropriated, translated, rehistorized and read anew in songs, be they pop songs or national anthems.

  Ce dossier spécial de Comunicazionepuntodoc, se propose comme un moment de réflexion collective et transnationale sur les tentatives de réaffirmation du rôle des journalistes en général dans les démocraties modernes... Il ne s’agit donc pas de faire une étude sur le traitement médiatique de la diversité, ou d’engager la profession dans une posture militante qui consisterait à promouvoir cette question de la diversité, mais bien d’interroger et de comprendre l’exercice de la profession de journaliste dans cette configuration particulière et ainsi répondre aux défis de nos sociétés contemporaines.

  Four Visiting Fellowships for Postgraduates "Cultures of Decision-Making"

  The Integrated Graduate School of the Collaborative Research Centre/SFB 1150 “Cultures of Decision-making”, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) at the University of Muenster since July 1^st 2015, is offering  four visiting fellowships for postgraduates/doctoral candidates  in 2016 for a period of up to six months, starting in April 2016. The closing date for applications is March 20^th 2016.

  Il ne sera pas question d’être défaitiste dans ce nouveau numéro, bien que le titre ait été suggéré par un nombre grandissant d’attaques ou de pressions diverses faites à l’encontre d’œuvres contemporaines. S’il s’agit de distinguer les actes de vandalisme, de censure, et plus généralement de défiance vis-à-vis de la création, ce sera pour mieux interroger les enjeux portés par les œuvres et les perturbations ainsi créées dans la société contemporaine.
