  La poésie n'a jamais cessé d'être dite, mais avec la possibilité de l'enregistrement sonore, on conserve, depuis plus d'un siècle maintenant, de très nombreuses « voix de poètes », de très nombreux poèmes sous leur forme oralisée. Le premier objectif de ce colloque international est de mettre en lumière l'importance d'un tel corpus, assez négligé jusqu'à présent par la recherche universitaire, et de réfléchir aux conditions de possibilité d'une meilleure indexation, d'une meilleure valorisation et, dans certains cas, d'une meilleure conservation de ce type d'archives. Ce colloque voudrait initier en France une réflexion de fond sur le patrimoine sonore de la poésie, depuis sa production jusqu'à ses usages.

Face à une Europe sous tension, le Québec fut momentanément contraint de restreindre ses relations avec le Vieux continent et, corollairement, avec ses milieux savants, au premier chef avec la France, destination jusqu’alors privilégiée.

Cet appel à contribution a pour objet de décrire, d’analyser les parcours et trajectoires migratoires depuis leur pays de départ jusqu’aux différents pays d’accueil.

  Struggle and the journal - collective writings and alternative discourses

  Écritures collectives et discours alternatifs

  Cette journée d’étude veut interroger ce lieu, aussi bien physique qu’intellectuel, qu’est la revue et la manière dont s’y nouent des discours alternatifs, dont s’y élaborent des écritures qui tentent de résister à l’usure du discours politique comme parfois à l’isolement de l’entreprise littéraire. Ces lieux sont, en un sens, nécessairement minoritaires et précaires, dans un entre-deux fragile, ni totalement dans le cycle médiatique, ni hors du débat public. A travers l’analyse d’exemples français et étrangers, issus de diverses périodes (de « l’âge d’or » du tournant du XX^e siècle à l’époque contemporaine), nous voudrions explorer ce que les revues apportent, en termes de style et de positionnement, les deux allant bien souvent de pair.

  Rethinking pictures

  A transatlantic dialogue

  On the occasion of the launch of Picturing, the first volume of the Terra Foundation Essays, a new publication series exploring themes of critical importance to the history of arts and visual culture of the United States, the Deutsches Forum für Kunstgeschichte, Paris, and the Terra Foundation for American Art are jointly organizing a conference to further the transatlantic dialogue about what pictures are and what they do. This conference invites speakers to reflect on the differences and convergences between the intellectual traditions of visual studies and Bildwissenschaft. Are there ways to think about pictures anew by bringing these models more closely together?  Does the move away from visuality towards the material offer possibilities for overcoming early differences between these two approaches?

  Irland and France in the age of the "Atlantic Republic"

  As Ireland commemorates the Centenary of the 1916 Rising and the Proclamation of the Irish Republic (Easter Monday, 24 April 1916), and as this defining landmark event comes more than 15 years after the Bicentenary of the 1798 Rebellion, it is both relevant and necessary to interrogate anew the defining links between Revolutionary France and Ireland forged during the pivotal decade of the 1790s. This re-appraisal is all the more timely given the new research perspectives which have emerged in the three decades since the publication of Marianne Elliot's seminal Partners in Revolution (1982) and the Bicentenary of the French Revolution.
