  Depuis sa fondation, la vie du Groupe d'anthropologie et d'archéologie funéraire (Gaaf) est rythmée par l’organisation d’une rencontre thématique annuelle. En parallèle de ces colloques, l’association invite désormais ses membres et ses sympathisants à prendre part à des journées d’études plus informelles : les rendez-vous. Pour les inaugurer, le Gaaf s’associe au programme ANR MAGI pour organiser un cycle de trois séminaires sur le thème suivant : Manger, boire, parer, parfumer pour l'éternité. Les offrandes biologiques pour les morts du Néolithique à l’époque moderne.

  Reception of the Greek fathers in Italy in the Middle Ages

  Cette rencontre s’inscrit dans le cadre du programme quinquennal « La mémoire des Pères : disponibilité et usages politiques du souvenir patristique dans l’Italie médiévale ». Après une première étape consacrée à la « mémoire d’Ambroise de Milan », le programme s’intéresse à présent aux fonctions de la réception des Pères grecs.

  The historiography of the Norman worlds (17th-21st centuries)

  Construction, influence, evolution

  The gathering organised at Ariano Irpino will examine in particular the historiographical constructions developed since the 17th century by looking at the place of the "Normans" in the "national story" of each country. It will also evaluate their influence on our knowledge of the history of the Norman worlds. What axioms have influenced the historiographical debates? Beyond their identification and classification, it is also important to understand their genealogy, their implications, their pervasiveness, their rejection and their deconstruction. The colloquium will also look to explore the orientation of a history of the Norman worlds developed from questions that go beyond national boundaries, schools and academic traditions.
