  The senses of translation of the filmic "text"

  It is impossible to envisage audiovisual translation without keeping in mind the senses: “the translator writes for sight and sound, that is to say for a speaker and a listener, not for a reader”. (T. Le Nouvel). Dialogue is meant for performance and representation, whether in Original Version, or in the various kinds of Translated Versions that may be produced (subtitling, dubbing, voice-over, audiodescription or subtitling for the hearing impaired, etc.). This pragmatic purpose leads to yet another dimension, that of embodiment in its primary meaning: the fleshing out of a character by an actor, which is paramount in dubbing.

  "Kaamelott" and the (re)reading of history

  Ce colloque se propose d'interroger les représentations historiques qui sous-tendent la série télé Kaamelott, écrite et réalisée par Alexandre Astier (2005-2010). En réécrivant la légende arthurienne, la série fait le double choix de se situer dans une période historique rarement représentée – à la charnière entre Antiquité tardive et haut Moyen Âge – et de jouer avec la « matière de Bretagne » des romans arthuriens. On peut dès lors déconstruire avec profit les imaginaires historiques de la série, pour comprendre comment le Moyen Âge est compris et réinventé dans des cercles non-universitaires.

  Travelling Narratives and Images in Times of Migration

  Migrant narratives and aesthetic practices influenced by experiences of migration constitute a growing field in contemporary art and literature. Current patterns of migration and issues related to the protection of refugees and asylum seekers contribute to the strong societal impact of migrant aesthetics and narrratives, but also serve to explain the need for them as such, as well as the need to reexamine them. More than ever, we need to understand the experiences of exiles, migrants and refugees. The objective of this interdisciplinary seminar is to examine textual, material and visual expressions that represent, discuss and problematize migration.

  Ce séminaire entend développer l’investigation des formes savantes de l’écriture géographique en les mettant en contact et en tension avec d’autres formes de textes qui portent également des modalités de connaissance ou de questionnement géographiques (le sentiment paysager, le rapport aux lieux ou à l’espace, le devisement régional, etc.) : l’écriture de fiction sous tous ses registres, mais aussi le texte descriptif, le récit de voyage, l’essai, ou encore les écrits intimes.

  Revue pluridisciplinaire en langues, lettres et arts

  La revue électronique Les Chantiers de la Création est une revue de jeunes chercheurs à comité de lecture, disponible sur revues.org. Cette revue en Langues, Lettres, Arts et Civilisations d’Aix-Marseille Université questionne l'art et l'histoire, les événements et les œuvres, et les œuvres en tant qu'événements. La revue se consacre particulièrement à l’étude des déclencheurs inattendus de l’acte créatif ; elle interroge ses moteurs, ses détours, ses écarts. En plus d'une rubrique thématique, chaque numéro publie une rubrique libre qui regroupe différents articles s'intégrant à notre ligne éditoriale citée ci-dessus.
