A Paisagem apresenta-se como o cenário que herdámos, onde vivemos, e donde retiramos os recursos com que subsistimos enquanto civilização e espécie. O resultado da nossa actuação sobre este património será a herança que iremos deixar aos nossos descendentes. No início do terceiro milénio, e numa sociedade submetida a mudanças culturais, que decorrem a velocidades muito superiores às que o tempo de percepção, meditação, e experimentação necessitam, o interesse pela Paisagem tem ganho uma importância crescente, que transforma a disciplina numa plataforma de investigação onde se cruzam os vários ramos do conhecimento.

Amílcar Cabral: The “Anonymous Fighter” for the Mankind Fundamental Freedoms

In 1971, Amílcar Cabral presented himself in the United Nations (UN) as an “anonymous fighter” engaged in the struggle for the fundamental freedoms of the populations of Guinea and Cape Verde, as well as of all mankind. Such affirmation was not casual, since Cabral adopted the status of “anonymous fighter” in other circumstances, arguing that he was struggling for the human dignity, progress and happiness. The main goal of the conference is to bring together academics studying Cabral trajectory, institutions involved in preserving his memory and personalities which became acquainted with him.

O (trans)nacional, o local e o comunitário nas políticas educativas

Em 2016 decorreu a primeira edição do congresso internacional « Transformações e (in)consistências das dinâmicas educacionais », centrada no balanço das políticas públicas de educação, a propósito das efemérides de três e duas décadas que as Leis enquadradoras das políticas públicas de educação, portuguesa, brasileira e espanhola, então cumpriram. O sucesso dessa primeira edição, traduzido pela importância dos debates e das apresentações, impõe a continuação da organização deste evento, com caráter anual, assumindo-o como fórum de discussão orientado para um questionamento crítico das dinâmicas educacionais e para aduzir as ideias necessárias, que possam ajudar a pensar e a executar melhores políticas públicas de educação e formação.

Gomes Freire de Andrade: the man and his time

In 2017 we celebrate the bicentennial of three remarkable moments in the history of Portugal, Spain, Brazil and the Ibero-American world, the so-called “Revolution of 1817”, in Pernambuco; the “conspiracy” of General Gomes Freire de Andrade against the British tutelage, in Portugal; and the failed liberal pronouncement of General Luis Lacy y Gauthier, in Catalonia, in favor of the Constitution of 1812. In view of the historical and historiographic importance of these events, the Centre for History of the University of Lisbon (CH-ULisboa), in collaboration with the Directorate of History and Military Culture, is organizing an international conference that aims to contribute to debate the crisis of the Iberian empires in the early nineteenth century and the emergence of liberalism and the politicization of Ibero-American societies.

CIDEHUS has a book collectioncalled Fontes & Inventários that publishes historical sources editing or inventories of archives or libraries, with a particular focus on the sources, archives or bibliographic funds relevant for the study of Southern dynamics, namely those remaining in foreign institutions. The collection has an international scientific committee and an editorial committee, as well as an individual assistant for the edition process. The e-books are published in the CIDEHUS publishing at the OpenEdition platform.

Sistemas e dinâmicas educacionais coloniais e suas inferências sectoriais na África e em Moçambique colonial e pós-colonial

Se para o conjunto africano é perceptível que as diferenças eductivas resultaram fundamentalmente da imposição de diferentes modelos ligados à diferentes realidades colonizadoras, tais diferenças seriam consideradas atípicas quando vistas no interior do mesmo sistema, por um lado, ou dentro do mesmo território colonial, por outro. Contudo, tal atipicidade parece ter dominado, mesmo reconhecendo-se que as colónias africanas estiveram, a partir do século XIX, sob uma mesma dinâmica imposta pela “Modernidade Europeia”. Tal realidade terá sido engendrada, ao que tudo indica, em virtude de nem sempre a tal Modernidade ter sido capaz de manifestar-se da mesma maneira em todos os territórios coloniais.

The omnipresence of the ornament as a cultural expression is transversal to all civilizations, and to all periods in history. A combination of pleasure and power, prestige and hierarchy, the ornament defines socio-cultural patterns and allows interpretations and specific views to be formed of each society and period. In this conference we intend to debate not only case studies, but theoretical and critical approaches regarding the place and permanence of the ornament, its multiple manifestations and moments of valorization in certain contexts and geographies.

L’enseignement/apprentissage de l’écrit dans l’enseignement primaire, secondaire et supérieur est une thématique d’actualité qui a mobilisée de nombreuses recherches tant au Brésil que dans d’autres pays. Dans ce contexte, un élément occupe une place appart : le processus d’évaluation de l’apprentissage et, en particulier, l’évaluation de la révision et de la réécriture textuelle. Aussi avons-nous comme objectif de réunir des travaux scientifiques inédits aussi bien théoriques que pratiques traitant des divers aspects en relation au thème de l’évaluation, révision et réécriture textuelle.

Pour une approche de l’espace littéraire : géopoétique et géocritique dans le franchissement des frontières de la connaissance

La réorientation théorique des études littéraires dans le sens de son approche renouvelée du « réel », identifiée plus tard par d’aucuns comme le « tournant spatial » (Soja, 1989) commence à prendre forme dans le panorama théorico-littéraire à partir du milieu du XX^e siècle, quand des théoriciens de renom dans le champ structuraliste accordent un vaste espace de réflexion au rapport entre « la littérature et la réalité », dans le but de dénoncer avec insistance toute « illusion référentielle » (Barthes et al., 1982), et de renvoyer l’espace littéraire à sa spécularité intratextuelle (Dällenbach, 1977).
