  Wars and political violence in modern European and American societies (19th-21st century)

  “Amnis” Journal

  Amnis Review seeks to open up a reflection on the synergies that exist between war and political violence – both real and symbolic – and to ascertain to what extent the two phenomena are interlinked as well as how far they can be regarded as an essential area of research for gaining an understanding of the historical processes at work during a given period. To this end, Amnis proposes a long-term study focused on the contemporary period in order to analyse not only the impact of conflicts, such as the two world wars that left their mark on the 20^th century, but also the consequences of the many civil wars, colonisation wars and the various other types of confrontations that have punctuated the history of European and American societies from the 19^th century to the present.

  Thinking and conducting the transformation of work

  The contribution of the ergological approach and the works of Yves Schwartz

  The ergological approach intends to the co-production of knowledge with the aim of transforming work and more generally the social life. As stated by the scientific project of the Workshop, “the ergological approach, in its history and in its issues, is a priori a subject of interest for everyone, each exploring in its own way the intricacies of human life, but also anyone who wants to think about its own activity and that of others, to reconsider the ways of doing and taking action, of opening new perspectives in ways of working, acting and living”. Yet this approach, which is particularly needed nowadays, is insufficiently known and sometimes considered complex. This is the state of play at the origin of this international workshop for which this call for papers is published.

  Streets in every way

  Iberian worlds - Europe, America, Africa, Asia, 19th-21st centuries

  Élément constituant de la ville, la rue a beaucoup évolué au fil des siècles. Assurant la mise en relation des lieux, des fonctions et des groupes sociaux, elle est une forme urbaine qui a une configuration, une architecture, une histoire. Elle a ses logiques, ses dynamiques et ses usages. Ses pratiques et ses représentations sont liées à l’espace urbain dans lequel elle s’inscrit ; elles dépendent aussi de facteurs politiques et socio-économiques. Le « sens » de la rue pouvant donc varier considérablement, il est nécessaire d’aborder celle-ci sous l’angle d’un certain relativisme, en gardant présente à l’esprit la notion d’échelle. Ce colloque envisage la rue dans les mondes ibériques à travers ses dimensions fonctionnelles, socio-économiques, politiques et culturelles, au prisme des lieux et des éléments qui la composent, de ses acteurs et de ses créations. Quatre axes seront privilégiés : la « rue de l’urbaniste » ; Un espace socio-économique : lieu de passage et d’échanges ; Un espace symbolique : « ordre et désordres » ; Un espace de création artistique et langagière

  «"La zona roja". Le nom faisait sourire Amalfitano, avec un mélange de tendresse et d’amertume. Tout au long de sa vie » écrit Roberto Bolaño à propos du protagoniste principal de son roman inachevé, Los sinsabores del verdadero policía. Il avait connu des zones rouges. Les quartiers ouvriers, les cordons industriels, tout d’abord, les zones rurales libérées par la guérilla, par la suite. Ce sont précisément ces réminiscences « sesentistas » et « setentistas » de la jeunesse d’Amalfitano que nous nous proposons d’explorer dans le cadre de cette journée d’études.
