Feminists and their archives (1968-2018)

Militantism, memory and research

The fiftieth anniversary of May and June 1968 will be the occasion for numerous commemorations of the event, but also more generally on the "1968 years", bounded, according to Philippe Artières and Michelle Zancarini-Fournel by the two dates of 1962 and 1981. During that period, feminist movements in France and other occidental countries experienced a renewal through activism, intense cultural production and high visibility in the public sphere and the media. To write the history of such feminist mobilizations and to question their posterity, one needs to engage with the issue of archives, written and oral, private as well as institutional, collective as well as individual, preserved or destroyed. This symposium aims to initiate a wide-ranging reflection on the constitution, conservation and use of feminist archives and to promote an interdisciplinary and international dialogue.

L’existence d’un encadrement constitue un levier indispensable au développement de l’activité physique. Éducateur, entraineur, animateur, formateur dispensent leurs savoirs auprès d’un public diversifié. Comment sont-ils formés, hommes et femmes ? Quelles compétences les caractérisent ? Dans quel projet (social, culturel, politique, etc.) s’inscrivent-ils ? Dans quelles conditions exercent-ils ? Comment sont-ils organisés ? Quelle conception de l’éthique du sport contribuent-ils à diffuser ?

Anti-feminism and masculinity, today and yesterday

Ce colloque international s'inscrit dans un contexte dans lequel les recherches sur l'antiféminisme dans les universités francophones sont plus dynamiques que jamais, et très diversifiées dans leurs sujets d'intérêts et leurs approches. Il insistera sur les cas français et québécois en mettant en avant l'interdisciplinarité des études portant sur les antiféminismes et masculinismes, particulièrement tout au long du XX^e siècle. Ces thématiques seront abordées par les liens qu'elles entretiennent avec les courants conservateurs et les combats militants (violences faites aux femmes, discriminations sexistes...) ainsi que les nouveaux enjeux contemporains concernant les antiféminismes (notamment dans l'espace religieux).

The cloakroom of totalitarianism

Questionner le totalitarisme à partir d'une histoire du vêtement peut sembler anecdotique au regard de la complexité et de la monstruosité de ce phénomène. Pourtant, l'attention portée par les différents régimes (fascistes ou communistes) à la normalisation des conduites invite à explorer toutes les facettes de ce langage du pouvoir qui concilie police des apparences et vestiaire de la servitude. Témoin et instrument d'une volonté prométhéenne d'emprise et de contrôle, d'assujettissement et d'exclusion, mais aussi instrument de résistance et de dissidence, le vestiaire constitue un analyseur privilégié pour rendre compte des expériences totalitaires du XX^e siècle.

Tourism in Indonesia and Southern Countries

A vector of sustainable development?

The objective of the conference is to analyze the effect of tourism, questioning more specifically in this second edition its potential for becoming a vector of sustainable development, understood in its more general sense. Within this framework, we will question its economic impact, as well as its social effects, on Indonesia and Southern countries. We are interested in knowing how extra income is redistributed to the local population and whether it affects, or on the contrary, strengthens the traditional organizations of the communities, bringing new actors, investors, decision-makers in the traditional social organization.
