Seminar - Epistemology and methodology
Young researchers association at the Centre de recherche sur les médiations (2017-2018)
L’Association des jeunes chercheur·e·s du Centre de recherche sur les médiations (CREM) rassemble des doctorant·e·s et des jeunes chercheur·e·s du CREM, ainsi que des étudiant·e·s des masters adossés à l’unité de recherche. Elle propose des séminaires présentant des travaux en cours (articles, communications, thèses) et, par ses manifestations, elle valorise les projets scientifiques de ses membres, leur permet d’acquérir des compétences nécessaires à la recherche et développe un réseau d’associations de jeunes chercheur·e·s en sciences humaines et sociales.

Memory and the heritage-isation of migrations
Depuis 2010, le séminaire « Mémoires et patrimonialisations des migrations » a porté, d’un point de vue théorique et empirique, sur les articulations dynamiques entre mémoires singulières des migrations, mémoires collectives et patrimonialisations. En tenant compte des apports des thématiques explorées les années précédentes, le séminaire 2017/2018 portera ici plus spécifiquement sur les formes alternatives (tourisme de la mémoire, espaces cultuels notamment interreligieux, espaces fictionnels, artistiques et virtuels, public history…) d’évocation et de production sur le passé des déplacements.

Spaces of circulation and colonial/imperial landscapes: criticisms and challenges
8th European Society for the History of Science conference
By bringing together scholars who have used the problematic of circulation in their work as well as those who have reservations as to its relevance, we would like in this symposium to develop the problematic through a dialogue between these different positions in order to not only to establish a better understanding of the problematic and methodological nature of the concept of circulation, but above all of the implied conception of spaces of circulation within which knowledges, know-hows, practices and norms are constructed and shared, and beyond which they need again to be negotiated in order to move.

Ce colloque interdisciplinaire propose de réunir philosophes, juristes, historien-ne-s sociologues et économistes pour analyser les sources, les fondements et les possibiles évolutions des normes du droit du travail et du droit social en France. Il s'organise en quatre sessions réparties sur deux journées, qui abordent les questions de l'émergence du développement du modèle français du droit du travail, des normes du droit du travail aujourd'hui, du statut juridique de l'entreprise, des enjeux normatifs des réformes récentes ou à venir du droit du travail.

"Imaginary homelands": the literature of Southern Asia and its diaspora
The DELI Project (Encyclopedic Dictionary of Indian Literatures) organizes its fifth workshop on 7th December 2017 at the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme. Entitled “Imaginary Homelands: South Asian Literatures in diaspora”, this one-day workshop aims at interrogating the nature of literary phenomena resulting from South Asian diasporas, both ancient and modern. This workshop is organized with the support of the Centre d'Etudes de l'Inde et de l'Asie duSud (CEIAS).

Ce colloque interdisciplinaire et comparatiste, qui accueille spécialistes des littératures, des productions culturelles et de l’histoire des idées, historiens et anthropologues travaillant sur différentes aires culturelles et contextes historiques, vise à interroger les partitions et les divisions nationales d’un point de vue genré. Il s’intéressera particulièrement aux représentations comme témoin de ces assimilations imaginaires : littérature, cinéma, arts performatifs, arts plastiques sont les supports de nos réflexions.

Knowledge, power and duties within a finite planet
The advent of the Anthropocene concept and Earth system sciences – putting forward upscaled temporalities in the public sphere, the dramatization of warnings on planetary limits and boundaries and on the human impacts of climate change – provide a challenging context for the humanities and social sciences. Cropping up these developments and at the crossroad of world and connected histories, environmental history, human geography and social, political and legal studies, the conference will examine how ideas of a global, unified and limited earth played a role in human reflexivity, and how the “right use” of the Earth as a whole has become, and is increasingly becoming, an object of knowledge making and government practices.

Dans le cadre du colloque international 2018 de l’APAD (Association pour l'anthropologie du changement social et du développement) qui se tiendra à l’université de Roskilde (Danemark) du 23 au 25 mai 2018, sur le thème « migrations, développement, citoyennetés », nous organisons un panel sous le thème « Migrations de retour, transferts sociaux et pratiques citoyennes transnationales ».
