  The Black Metropolis, between past and future

  Race, urban planning and African-American culture in Chicago

  The colloquium will celebrate the centenary of the “Great Migration” and explore the social and cultural life of Chicago South Side and West Side from the end of the Thirties, which were marked by the cultural zenith of Bronzeville neighborhood and a series of measures for the Black community inspired by the New Deal, to the present, which is characterized by numerous private and public initiatives in favor of an urban renewal. This international and multidisciplinary colloquium seeks to reevaluate the contribution of the South Side and the West Side to the definition and evolution of the African-American identity from the beginning of the XX^th Century until the contemporary moment.

  L’histoire transnationale et globale

  L’objectif de ce séminaire collectif est de fédérer les recherches au sein de l’IHMC, alors que l’histoire transnationale et globale constitue un véritable axe structurant des recherches qui y sont menées ces dernières années, mais aussi d’offrir à la communauté des chercheurs parisiens intéressés par les questions, les méthodes et les enjeux de cette manière de concevoir et pratiquer l’histoire un lieu de discussions, d’échanges et de travail autour de recherches récentes.

  First international seminar for post-graduate students in Sport History

  A first international seminar for PHD and post-graduate students in sport history (political and cultural perspectives) supervised by Prof. Dave Day (Manchester Metropolitan University) and Prof. J.-F. Loudcher (Bordeaux) is planned at Bordeaux between the 11^th September and the 13^th September 2017. It is the first of a series of seminars between the two universities (the next will be in Manchester) and will provides an opportunity to establish new relationsships and partnerships with students ands researchers from all over the world. In addition, this one will have a workshop on European project research funding on cultural and political sport coaching in a comparative way for an application in 2018. It is possible to just attend the seminar and the workshop.

  Kolloquium - Neuere und Zeitgeschichte

  Voyager dans les États autoritaires et totalitaires de l'Europe de l'entre-deux guerres

  Confrontations aux régimes, perceptions des idéologies et comparaisons

  Le colloque se propose de croiser et comparer les voyages étrangers dans les États autoritaires et totalitaires de l'Europe de l'entre-deux guerres afin de mieux cerner les modalités du voyage et les enjeux politiques, diplomatiques et intellectuels d'une telle entreprise. Devant la multiplication des travaux sur la thématique du voyage, à la fois sur le champ chronologique et sur le champ spatial, le colloque a vocation à offrir une vision globale et une dimension internationale à un thème de recherche jusque-là cantonné à des préoccupations nationales. Ainsi, cet appel à contribution s'adresse aux chercheuses et chercheurs désireux d'approfondir et de renouveler le genre de l'histoire du voyage à travers une entrée comparée.

  Diplomatique et pratiques (1795-1799)

  Pour la seconde année consécutive, l’équipe de LexDir-1795-1799 s’associe aux archivistes et conservateurs des Archives nationales ainsi qu’aux enseignants chercheurs de l’IHRF en Sorbonne, afin de poursuivre leur chantier sur la loi, sa formation, son fonctionnement et sa diffusion durant le Directoire, entre 1795 et 1799.
