  The archaeology of war - from excavations to the writing of history

  La Bibliothèque nationale de France organise entre octobre 2017 et juin 2018 un cycle de conférences consacré aux différents aspects de l’archéologie de la guerre, toutes périodes confondues. Le cycle s’ouvre par l’exposition Inrap sur l’archéologie de la Grande Guerre, sur le site François Mitterrand de la Bibliothèque nationale de France et l’intervention de Gilles Prilaux dressant un panorama synthétique de l’apport de ces fouilles. En ces temps de commémoration, l’archéologie de la Grande Guerre, qui a longtemps fait polémique, constituera l’horizon-repère à partir duquel le cycle nous amènera à réfléchir, en amont et en aval, sur l’archéologie de guerre en général, depuis l’Antiquité jusqu’à la seconde guerre mondiale.

  Représentations et Usages des civilisations anciennes dans le cadre scolaire français

  Ce projet permet de s’interroger sur les référents communs qui sont transmis par l’école. La journée d’étude « La France au miroir de l’Antiquité » se proposera de mettre en perspective les résultats obtenus en les comparant avec ceux déjà étudiés pour d'autres civilisations anciennes (Étrusques, Rome, Grèce). Les interventions s’intéresseront donc à la réception de ces civilisations dans le cadre scolaire français.

Estes textos, que representam o género de corpus mais amplo de todos os géneros do antigo Egipto, funcionariam como auxiliares para o morto atingir o Além na companhia dos deuses.

  Climate and Societies in the Mediterranean during the Last Two Millennia

  Current State Of Knowledge and Research Perspectives

  This two-day international conference aims to highlight recent and challenging interdisciplinary studies dealing with complex historical climate/society interactions in Mediterranean during the last two millennia. The study of these existing connections can help in better understanding the role played by past climatic events in the eruption of regional conflicts, in forced migration and displacement of people, in periodically appearing infectious disease outbreaks or in subsistence crises like food shortages and famines Similarly, it seems necessary to identify and analyze socio-economic and technological responses (e.g. water supply systems) together with mitigation and general adaptation strategies, insofar as they existed, to cope with climate change.
