O colóquio O Gesto e a Crença, organizado no âmbito das atividades do grupo Sociabilidades e Práticas Religiosas (CITCEM), pretende ser uma plataforma de debate internacional e interdisciplinar para jovens investigadores que desenvolvam o seu trabalho no âmbito dos Estudos de Religião. Com o intuito de difundir novas perspetivas sobre as diversas vivências do religioso, este colóquio encontra-se aberto a contributos das mais diversas áreas das Ciências Sociais e Humanas, de modo a desenvolver campos de análise plurais e comparativos.

Artistic theories and practices in the academic context - polarisation and contaminations
La multiplication de cours de pós-graduação (Master, Doctorat et Post-doctorat) dans le champ de l’art au Brésil ces dernières dix années interroge davantage l’interaction entre théories et pratiques dans le contexte académique. La présence de disciplines dans lesquelles s’inscrivent une pratique artistique – arts visuels, musique, danse, théâtre, cinéma, littérature, entre autres – interpelle le binarisme entre art et science et propose des nouvelles formes de perceptions de l’objet d’étude, ainsi que des nouveaux critères d’argumentation et d’évaluation de recherche académique. Comment une pratique artistique peut devenir un objet de recherche académique ? Comment gérer la particularité de ces recherches e de ses résultats ? Quelles sont les stratégies utilisées pour outrepasser les binarismes imposés par les modèles scientifiques tout en emphatisant le pouvoir réflexif de l’art et l’imminente nécessité de créativité pour la formulation théorique ?

7th Congress of the Portuguese Anthropological Association (APA)
The 7th Portuguese Anthropological Association congress aims to discuss the condition of being human and being in the world today. 2019, a year of a possible calendar among many other available. Without identifying themes, reference words, categories or classifications, 2019 marks a stage in the social and natural history of the planet. The openness suggested in an “untitled” congress also points to an anthropology without conceptual, thematic or epistemological boundaries. It is life in itself that interests anthropology, anthropologies, thinking the gerund of human existence, others and the rest from multiple interpretive possibilities. After all, anthropology is practiced on everything and everyone in a project of knowledge that remains inexhaustible in terms of what exists and is to come.

Living Mobilities: Pathways, Directions and Policies
In 2016, we met in Braga to discuss experiences about living mobilities, and debate reflections and results of research on (new) cultures of time, space and distance. Two years later, we travel South. In Évora, 2018, we intend to maintain the theme and broaden the debate on mobility in the contemporary world, looking particularly at its pathways, directions and policies. We now have a significant theoretical-conceptual knowledge about mobility, its senses, scales and experiences. This knowledge is shaped by the great questions that inspire contemporary social theorization around the uses, appropriations and representations of time and space. Thinking Latin-American Right-Wings in the XXth Century
This conference is the continuation of two previous conferences held in France (2014) and Argentina (2016) which saw the gradual emergence of a community of researchers working on the questions of identities, ideas, practices and discourses of actors and movements from Latin American rightwing. It is difficult to establish the precise conceptual limits of the rightwing because of the heterogeneity and plurality of the groups and movements that have historically been part of this family and which are thus characterized by the presence of diverse political traditions. It is therefore essential to imagine flexible boundaries when considering rightwing history and taking into account the changes it experienced over time. Our purpose is not to establish canonical definitions, but rather to contribute to set general frameworks for this field of study whose historical relevance and actuality are no longer to be demonstrated, but whose limits and fundamental characteristics are still debated.

Vivemos um tempo duro e de incertezas. Porém, o texto de Galeano nos provoca a pensar que é um tempo que se abre para novas expectativas para se pensar a educação, para continuar a produzir outros modos de olhar e escutar, de compreender e interpretar em outras direções e é tempo de novas (re)construções. Para escapar ou amenizar as incertezas desse tempo é preciso produzir conhecimento crítico que indague o cotidiano e provoque reflexões e participações ativas. No sentido de Galeano e Freire, é preciso refletir, compreender e fazer para mudar o que somos e para transformarmos o mundo.

Le Mozambique est encore très largement géré par l'administration de l'État central: il n'y a que 58 municipalités, toutes urbaines. La questionne est donc très politique, puisque toute avancée de la municipalisation permet à l'opposition d'acquérir plus de poids, même si le parti au pouvoir garde le contrôle sur la majorité d'entre elles. Ce colloque international aura lieu une dizaine de jours après la tenue des élections municipales d'octobre 2018, qui seront un test grandeur nature pour les élections présidentielles et législatives de l'année suivante...

Applications for academic year 2018/2019
PIUDHIST is an inter-university doctoral programme in which History is viewed from an inter-disciplinary point of view. Despite its unique character, History is regarded here as a field of knowledge which cannot do without a permanent cross fertilization with other areas in the humanities and the social sciences. In our vision, this is also why we consider apposite to attach, as a subtitle for this programme, the words “change and continuity in a global world”. It takes place in Lisbon, Portugal, jointly organized by the University of Lisbon, University of Évora, Portuguese Catholic University and ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute. Courses and seminars run in Portuguese and English. Enrolled students receive monitoring assistance by tutors and supervisors.

Against this background, this special session aims to unpack the long-lasting influence of academic mobility in urban metabolism and regeneration processes. From larger to smaller cities and universities, how can we make use of the principles of a circular economy to understand the effects, strengths and limits of academic mobility in regional development? Este seminário marca o início da agenda científica do Grupo de Trabalho Transições Tecnológicas: Memórias, Saberes e Práticas, constituído no âmbito do Colégio F3. A articulação entre alimentação, saúde e ambiente expressa, de forma inequívoca, a base em que assenta a relação milenar homem / natureza. Privilegiando uma abordagem multidisciplinar, este encontro pretende ser um fórum de discussão em torno das questões básicas do quotidiano das comunidades humanas, em especial as que respeitam à alimentação e à saúde e bem-estar na sua relação com o ambiente, considerando, por um lado, uma perspetiva de análise histórica que contemple diversidades geográficas, culturais e tecnológicas e, por outro, os desafios atuais face à globalização, à escassez de recursos, à sua sobre-exploração e às inovações tecnológicas para superar as dificuldades e / ou as consequências negativas dessa exploração.

2nd Congress International of Social Networks
Social networks occupy today an unprecedented centrality in developed societies. They are one of the most important components in the structure of social relations between people and organizations, through which they share values, expectations, interests and an immensity of flows that place them at a high level of complexity. Knowing and understanding this complexity, as well as the social networks and the multiplicity of configurations that are inherent to them, is one of the biggest challenges of our times. Today, talking about social networks, puts us on a new paradigm in the social sciences. In the dynamics of social relations, the actors involved in it, develop their interactions driven by diverse logics and strategies of action, putting challenges in their analysis and understanding to social intervenors and the academic community. It is in this context that the 2nd edition of CIReS.

In different moments of his work, Walter Benjamin reflects upon the question of technology and related issues such as work as the mediation between man and nature, conducting his critical analysis of progress. He says: “What’s the idea? to speak of progress to a world sinking into the rigidity of death. (...) The concept of progress must be grounded in the idea of catastrophe. That things are 'status quo' is the catastrophe. It is not an ever-present possibility but what in each case is given.” Marxism will also be reviewed by him according to his critical conception of progress: “Marx said that revolutions are the locomotive of world history.
