(Re)Making and regulating life and livelihoods across borders: transnational bioeconomy, law, and governance
Biotechnological industry, researchers, and governments have entered a new constellation, regime, and accelerated phase, called the Bioeconomy. This agenda - which exists in the form of policy, funding programs, white papers, etc. - reimagines how we live, how we live together with other kinds of life, and, directly, these other kinds of life at the molar and molecular level. In other words: All kinds of livelihoods in their social, economic, and ethical relations are put in motion. This agenda is, geopolitically, not restricted to Global North nor contained by any national or international jurisdiction and governance.

Le laboratoire Normandie innovation management en entreprise consommation (NIMEC EA 969, université de Rouen Normandie) recrute un(e) ingénieur(e) de recherche à mi-temps en contrat postdoctoral de 12 mois afin d’assurer la production, de traitement et d’analyse de données scientifiques (60%) et des missions de gestion administrative (40%), dans le cadre du projet de recherche « Étude socio-anthropologique de dispositifs collectifs d’acculturation à la sobriété (ESADICAS). Ce projet vise à analyser dans quelle mesure les dispositifs innovants de collectifs d’acculturation à la sobriété pourraient favoriser la participation du plus grand nombre de consommateurs à la transition écologique, économique et sociale, participant ainsi à sa massification.

Malgré leur poids relatif dans la richesse nationale, les systèmes de retraite font face aux défis du maintien de leur solvabilité et d’un taux de remplacement optimal en termes de bien-être à servir aux participants pour la retraite. Ces systèmes doivent continuellement adapter leurs structures pour gérer les risques liés aux chocs économiques (croissance, inflation), biométriques (démographique, longévité,..) et financiers (taux d’intérêt, …) auxquels ils font face, et protéger les actifs une fois à la retraite contre le risque de pauvreté.

L'analyse du processus créatif est actuellement un objet de recherche en pleine diffusion. Comment les chercheurs en sciences sociales peuvent-ils aujourd'hui construire leur propre objet d'étude autour du processus de création ? Plus particulièrement, quelle pourrait être la spécificité d’une approche anthropologique ? Comment gérer la pluridisciplinarité et les rapports avec d'autres disciplines scientifiques étudiant déjà des pratiques similaires (études musicologiques ou théâtrales, histoire de l'art, etc) ? Quelle méthodologie adopter et comment construire un terrain ethnographique cohérent et pertinent autour des processus de création ? Ce sont à ces quelques questions que ce colloque a pour ambition de répondre.

Le séminaire « Finlux » est un forum de discussion animé par le « Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History » (C2DH) dans le but d'animer la recherche et le débat sur un sujet relativement peu exploré dans la littérature luxembourgeoise et internationale, à savoir l'histoire de la place financière qui s'est établie au Grand-Duché à partir des années 1960. Pour le semestre d'été 2018, des chercheurs et experts luxembourgeois et étrangers ont été invités à présenter leurs projets de recherche dans un cadre constructif et critique.

New products, new organizations and new research models
The European publishing studies association (EuroPub) aims to foster the exchange of knowledge around the contemporary book trade. This three-day conference brings together industry professionals, educators, and scholars to examine key issues around the digital transformation of the book, as well as to discuss the developing field of publishing studies. In previous years we have discussed topics ranging from the evolution of cultural habits (Building audiences, 2016) to the development of publishing skills (Curation. A perspective on the book industry, 2017). By the Book 5 will focus on innovation in order to identify the nature and drivers of change within the industry.

The society of production is giving way to a consumer society in which leisure activities are gaining in popularity. Free time thus tends to turn into time which is used to groom one’s body, and the « civilization of leisure » generates its own culture (Dumazedier, 1964). In this way, sports as a form of leisure hold a particular place within our society. The “sportivization” of society, from a cultural and economic aspect, generates an expansion and a renewal of the different types of sporting leisure activities (increase in the number of sporting practices and diversification of the sporting techniques’ employed), following recreational (Corneloup, 2011) or body-oriented (Rauch, 1988) goals, but also connecting with the environment, whether it be urban or natural.
