Land and violent conflicts in Africa
Revue internationale des études du développement n°244 (2020-4)
The goal of this special issue is to establish a dialogue between two research fields in the social sciences, whose interactions are often overlooked as a consequence of disciplinary specialization. Some works refer to violence and civil wars, while other works investigate violent conflicts associated to land-related mechanisms. These two fields often ignore each other: on the one hand, the violence to access natural resources in the rural areas is regularly identified as one of the decisive elements of the origin, development, and duration of civil wars (guerrillas, insurrections, and endemic violence); on the other, civil wars spread around increasingly social tensions worldwide. Finally, the policies of ‟crisis-management or ‟post-conflict” make the property issues a key priority of their action.

5th congress of the International Ergology Society
La démarche de l’ergologie offre-t-elle une approche pertinente dans le champ des questions intégrant le travail, le patrimoine et le développement ? Dans quelle mesure sa contribution est-elle singulière et innovante ? Afin d’établir un bilan et de tracer des perspectives, le principal objectif du cinquième congrès de la Société internationale d’ergologie (SIE) est de mettre en débats, au cours de trois journées, les travaux qui, en plusieurs lieux du monde, ont fait l’option de s’engager dans cette réflexion, tout en ayant parfois privilégié auparavant d’autres cadres de référence. La diversité des approches constituera un atout essentiel de cette rencontre qui se veut donc pluridisciplinaire.

Thinking about Postwar Latin America (19th and 20th centuries)
Special issue of Atlante – Revue d’étude romanes (nº 14, printemps 2021)
The Latin American countries that emerged from the disintegration of the Portuguese and Spanish empires were born in a context of independence wars that lasted years, if not decades, and whose civil character and the violence that they generated, as well as the complexity of the dynamics at work, have been understood in a new light by Latin Americanist historiography in America and Europe. Postwar experiences are quite another matter. Over the past decades in France, and more broadly in Europe, this field has expanded, as shown by innovating studies of 20th century European conflicts, as well as the wars of decolonization, whether in social, cultural or political history, or even international relations. With regards to Latin America, the period following the Cold War, characterized by military dictatorships and civil wars, has been studied in terms of democratic transitions and problems associated with human rights and transitional justice.

Realism(s) in contemporary Spanish literary fiction (19th-21st centuries)
Le colloque international de la NEC+ prévu en mars 2020 portera sur ce « champ miné » (G. Champeau) qu’est le réalisme pour en considérer les diverses manifestations et l’évolution au sein de la fiction narrative espagnole des XIXe, XXe et XXIe siècles. Par-delà les clichés perdurant à son endroit au point d’en offrir une vision simpliste voire erronée, le réalisme est sans doute beaucoup plus complexe et opaque qu’il n’y paraît, d’autant plus difficile à cerner qu’il est fuyant et que ses contours sont flous, capable de se redéfinir et de se réinventer avec chaque époque et même avec chaque auteur pouvant s’y rattacher de près ou de loin.

#MariellePresente - Transnational Resistances
The Gender and Diversity Journal, a feminist and queer review from the northeastern region of Brazil, invites everyone to submit articles, essays, interviews, field journals, reports and other texts for the special issue entitled "#MariellePresente: Transnational Resistances". The texts must describe and analyze the transnational responses following the assassination of the Brazilian Marielle Franco. She was a black woman from the favela, political activist, feminist and lesbian. She was murdered at the corner of a street in Rio de Janeiro in March 2018. Given the political nature of her assassination, many actions denouncing the crime were organized around the world.

Migraciones e Independencias: dos siglos de testimonios y representaciones entre México, Centroamérica, España y Francia, 1820-2020
La ville de Bordeaux a été le point de départ de milliers d’émigrants vers l’Amérique latine. Dans le sens contraire, du Mexique, commerçants, financiers, diplomates et étudiants, artistes et écrivains ont voyagé puis laissé des traces, des textes et des images diverses sur l’expérience vécue dans le pays d’accueil, l’expérience de l’identité étrangère, la xénophobie ou l’extranéité. Les recherches proposées en réponse à cet appel à communication porteront sur les parcours migratoires, les expériences de voyage et les séjours entre le Mexique et l’Amérique centrale et d’autre part, l’Espagne ou la France, tout au long des deux siècles depuis les indépendances jusqu’à nos jours. Des résumés pourront aussi être proposés sur l’histoire des politiques migratoires mises en œuvre depuis le XIXe siècle, l’installation des Espagnols Américains dans le sud-ouest de la France à la fin de la Guerre d’Indépendance (1810-1821)...

Music, Tradition and Creativity in the Digital Era
New Ethnomusicological Perspectives From the Global South
This Symposium will explore how digital media and new technologies have affected the ways through which musicians, producers and researchers experiment and engage with "traditional" musical forms, in Colombia and in other parts of the world. The participants are invited to share their research results and methodological experimentations in the field of applied ethnomusicology, music pedagogy, performance, digital audio production or digital humanities about the study of the impact of digital technologies about current musical practices. This Symposium will also include the presence of several local musicians and producers who will conduct workshops on "traditional" Colombian music and music from other countries of the global South.

Spanish, French and Anglo-Saxon perspectives
Ce colloque sera l’occasion de créer un espace consacré à la représentation d’une féminité de l’« entre-deux » dans plusieurs aires géographiques (Espagne, France, Royaume-Uni, États-Unis, etc.). Des questions de genre littéraire, de genre et d’identité sexuelle, de réseaux d’intellectuelles et de géographies spécifiques se rencontrent, notamment sous un angle géocritique, pour mettre en avant des femmes et des représentations de la féminité souvent oubliées. En prenant en compte les quatre « points cardinaux » d’une approche géocritique (multifocalisation, polysensoralité, stratigraphie, intertextualité), nous allons entre autres questionner les espaces de sociabilité de ces femmes et la construction de la moderna ou de la garçonne.

American cities facing global changes

Nowadays, the assessment of environmental changes worldwide is indisputable. Interdependent processes – such as global warming, the extinction of species, soil depletion and scarce energy resources – deeply alter the living conditions in our societies, from a material and symbolic point of view. These systemic transformations go well beyond the physical environment or climate change; they can be understood thanks to the concept of “global changes” that has become a main research topic in the fields of social and environmental sciences over the past thirty years. For its thirteenth issue, RITA will dedicate its section Thema to American cities facing global changes.

L’ambition du colloque est d’interroger, à partir d’enquêtes de terrain, les représentations, les pratiques et les discours des enfants sur le patrimoine en mettant ces derniers au cœur de la réflexion sur la transmission patrimoniale, et sur leur rôle moteur dans sa mise en œuvre. Le colloque porte donc à la fois sur les conceptions du patrimoine du point de vue des enfants et sur la capacité des enfants à orienter la conservation, la transformation et le sens du patrimoine, pour en faire une véritable ressource (à la fois économique, sociale, culturelle, politique ou encore religieuse) permettant de contribuer au développement local.

Languages, experiences and temporalities (16th-21st centuries)
De l’époque de la Conquête et de la colonisation jusqu’à nos jours, les liens sociaux ont été extraordinairement intenses, complexes et conflictuels en Amérique ibérique. Il est possible d’explorer le langage social de la solidarité et de la désunion, et de se demander comment, depuis la fin du XIXe siècle, les sciences sociales et la psychologie sociale ont oscillé entre discours, enquêtes et conceptualisations selon une tentative toujours renouvelée de rendre compte des spécificités, des pathologies et des adaptations de sociétés de plus en plus diversifiées. En tant qu’élément substantiel du lien social, la mémoire collective peut être abordée selon une perspective historiographique qui explore la diversité de ses motifs et de ses manifestations tout au long des cinq derniers siècles.

Francoism, its image and policies of influence in France (1936-1975)
Cette journée d’étude entend interroger la politique d’influence du régime franquiste en France de la guerre civile jusqu’à la fin du régime, en 1975. Il s’agit de s’intéresser à la construction de son image publique destinée à traverser la frontière pyrénéenne et à sa réception sur le sol français. Si les évolutions internes du régime franquiste (guerre civile, premier et second franquisme) ont joué un rôle déterminant dans sa politique menée en France, les évolutions sur le territoire français ont joué un rôle tout aussi important. C’est ce phénomène d’interdépendance, ce jeu de miroir entre France et Espagne, que cette journée d’étude souhaite mettre en lumière.

Si le vieillissement des individus et des populations peut induire des spécificités dans les rapports à autrui et à l’environnement, il n’est pas appréhendé ici comme un phénomène hermétique aux autres données, souvent cumulatives, reliées aux processus d’exclusion tels le genre, les situations de handicap, l’origine ethnique, ou encore le niveau socio-économique. Une société inclusive pose d’emblée la question de l’Autre différent. Dans le cadre de son VIe colloque mondial, le REIACTIS invite les chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales, les décideurs politiques et les citoyens à se réunir sur la scène internationale pour mettre en débat et baliser les enjeux d’une société inclusive.
