  Comunismos y disidencias políticas

  La gran esperanza traída por la revolución rusa de 1917 y la idea de comunismo marcó, como utopía y como práxis política, el pensamiento social contemporáneo y el movimiento obrero internacional, entre interminables y encendidas polémicas, sembrando disensiones, guerras verbales, sectarismos profundos e irreconciliables diferenciaciones. Se desarrollaron diferentes modelos sociales, concepciones organizativas, culturas políticas, que se autonomizaron y cristalizaron como ramas de un árbol de un tronco común.

  The international conference Breaking Boundaries: Academia, Activism and the Arts proposes to bring into focus and critically question common grounds and boundaries between and within the Humanities, political activity and aesthetic production.​At a time when boundaries are simultaneously questioned and reinforced – for example between geographical territories, political states, public and private spheres, gendered bodies, creative media, theory and practice, local and global, human, non-human and post-human – the question of what such frontiers stand for, and how and why they might be transgressed offers itself for and, indeed, urges discussion.

  La modernité a été marquée par la construction d’appareils de l’État devenus de plus en plus complexes et sophistiqués. Ces appareils se sont employés à gouverner des territoires et des populations à travers de multiples réseaux administratifs, fiscaux, policiers et judiciaires. En même temps, de nouveaux mécanismes de légitimation du pouvoir politique ont vu le jour à partir d’une sphère publique et de la dissémination des différentes modalités d’organisation et de mobilisation collective comme associations, pétitions, manifestations, grèves et émeutes.

The international congress marking this event is designed to indicate the main lines of interpretation that are to be found in the abundant historiography currently existing on this subject, as well as to encourage the presentation of new approaches and perspectives of analysis.
