  Historians' libraries: a new subject for study?

  Le groupe de travail BIBLHIS (Bibliothèques d'historiennes et d'historiens) organise le 6 mars 2020 sa première journée d'études, à l'université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Elle servira à lancer des pistes de recherche sur ce domaine qui n'a pour l'instant fait l'objet que de travaux relativement ponctuels et dispersés.

  The university reception of Victor Hugo in France

  Cette journée d’études se penchera sur la réception de Victor Hugo dans l'université française. Elle entre dans le cadre du projet « HumaRom » – pour « Humanités romantiques », un programme de recherche qui vise à repenser le XIX^e siècle de façon interdisciplinaire, à étudier le champ large et partagé des « humanités » tel qu’il existe à l’époque romantique, afin de préparer la réouverture d’un champ commun des « humanités » aujourd’hui.

  Incorporating sexual violence into Czech WWII history and its aftermath: A Workshop

  The one-day event, featuring leading experts in the field Regina Mühlhäuser and Anna Hájková, will combine an introductory lecture, two panels of talks, and close work with primary sources. We are seeking submissions for participation with abstract (up to 300 words, including discussion of sources, and a short bio, up to 100 words). We are interested in the history of Second World War defined widely, that is people working on Czech and Slovak 1930s and 1940s, ethnic minorities, Holocaust, expulsion etc. pp.

  Journal “Slaveries and Post-Slaveries/Esclavages et Post-esclavages”

  The International Research Center on Slaveries and Post-Slaveries (CIRESC) creates a new digital journal of international standing, Slaveries and Post-Slaveries/Esclavages et Post-esclavages, supported by the Institut des sciences humaines et sociales (InSHS). Its third issue deals with Digital Humanities' topic.
