Infanticide from Antiquity to the mid-19th century (Europe, colonial and postcolonial Americas)
L’infanticide est le meurtre du nouveau-né ou du nourrisson perpétré dans la plupart des cas, mais pas seulement, par la mère. Il s’agira de faire le point sur un sujet peu étudié, dans une perspective historique (et non pas clinique ou pathologique) de l'Antiquité au milieu du XIXe siècle. Sans prétendre à une quelconque exhaustivité, les axes à envisager sont nombreux : de la question des sources et des archives en passant par les différents champs d'investigation, de la notion même d'infanticide à toute époque avec les différences de vocabulaire que cela implique, des acteurs qui verbalisent aux législations et leurs applications...

Romero: Memory. Activating Heritage of International Solidarity ((KU Leuven, 4-10 November 2019) is a one-week multidisciplinary academy for scholars, activists, writers, journalists, etc. centered around the legacy of the Salvadoran archbishop Oscar Romero (1917-1980), his significance for the solidarity movement with El Salvador and Latin America and his impact and imprint on the works, actions and ideas of people, communities and societies in the present as well as in the past.

Stakeholders and healthcare systems
The Centre Historique Minier organize an international conference on Health down in the Mine - Stakeholders and Healthcare Systems, on April 4 and 5, 2019 in Lewarde (France). In recent years, health issues relating to the mining industry have received renewed attention from historians and the social sciences: this is particularly the case with silicosis. At the same time, these issues represent, on a global scale, so many very contemporary questions, which are undeniable challenges for the future.The purpose of this conference, which will bring together 25 French and foreign speakers, is to open discussions on legislation, defining the disease, the instruments and stakeholders of health policies and also taking action as regards health issues.

Third International Student Symposium on the History of Crime
The International Symposium on the History of Crime is a forum for international university students to explore the understanding of issues surrounding the history of crime. The annual symposium was created to bring together doctoral, masters, and undergraduate students as well as early career academics in a friendly academic environment that facilitates discussion around history of crime issues. This Third edition will be attended by students and academics from the USA, UK and France. The symposium is deliberately broad in reach and we make every effort to draw together wide and diverse topics in order that contributors feel encouraged to participate and present their research in-progress as well as engaging and informative short papers.

A pluridisciplinary approach
Le divorce a connu plusieurs réformes, dont celle importante, issue de la loi française du 18 novembre 2016, instaurant un divorce par consentement mutuel « sans juge ». Ces modifications traduisent un désengagement de l'État dans les affaires familiales, dont les prolongements multiples, à la fois techniques et théoriques, sociaux et économiques, doivent être appréciés. Ce colloque sur « Les significations des réformes du divorce » s’inscrit dans une perspective multidisciplinaire où s’entremêleront les points de vue des juristes, en droit français et en droit comparé (européen et international), des sociologues, des historiens, des économistes, etc.
