  Reading group of cuneiform mathematical texts

  Our working group meets once a month at Paris 7 University to read and discuss, from photographs and / or copies and / or transliterations, selected cuneiform mathematical texts by the participants. Unless otherwise indicated, sessions are held on the Thursdays indicated from 13h to 16h in room 324 of the building Olympe de Gouges. Anyone interested is welcome, whether on a regular basis or more punctual.

  Ce congrès se fixe pour objectif d’interroger, dans leur individualité ou leurs interactions, les actes, statuts, pratiques et temporalités constitutifs de l’histoire et de l’actualité des objets entrés en collection, quels que soient leur domaine intellectuel de rattachement, leurs formes ou leurs supports. Les termes collecter, collectionner, collections, collectionneurs, conservateurs, retenus comme éléments d’articulation de cet appel à communications, permettent d’envisager des questionnements résultant des perspectives les plus diverses, qu’elles relèvent de l’intime, du collectif, du passé, du présent, du tangible ou du symbolique.

  Call for papers - Epistemology and methodology

  Studying medieval buildings (1850-1950)

  Actors, stakes and methods

  The history of medieval architecture was written, from the mid-19^th century, by men whose training, career and objectives were variable. In fact, they each developed their methods of analysis and their reading grids of medieval buildings, which are at the origin of our practices in art history and archeology. To be interested in these men and their works: this is the purpose of this study day that will allow to implement, at the scale of Western Europe, this epistemological approach of the medieval sciences dedicated to the castral, civil or religious building. Beyond the monuments themselves, which take the place of a major source, correspondences of scientists, archives of learned societies, photographs, old drawings, or the funds of historical monuments, for example, may be used to deal with one or more of the topics presented below.

  International birthday conference of the Association for the Promotion of Research into the Bronze Age

  On n’a pas tous les jours vingt ans ! Depuis sa création en 1999, l’Association pour la promotion des recherches sur l’âge du Bronze s’emploie à structurer les activités et à réunir les chercheurs travaillant sur cette période, en France comme en Europe occidentale. Ce colloque anniversaire est l’occasion de revenir à Bayeux, lieu de sa création, et de proposer une rétrospective des actions de l’association, mais également de porter un regard sur l’évolution qu’a connue la discipline durant cet intervalle. Comment se sont renouvelées les méthodes et les pratiques ? Quelle perception avons-nous aujourd’hui de l’âge du Bronze et quels problématiques et enjeux doivent être envisagés pour demain ?
