Migration via the sea or desert: recourse to religious figures in the migratory dynamics of Africa
This conference intends broadly speaking, to open a scientific dialogue to discuss the place of the religious in the migratory dynamics. The conference anchoring point is the illegal migration from Africa towards Europe and Middle East. But proposals dealing with the link between religious and all other forms of human mobility within the African continental space or from it to other destinations could be examined according to their relevance. Four areas of reflection, non-exclusive, are suggested to shape the discussions: 1) Faith, beliefs and religious practices in the development / maturation of the migration project; 2) Socioeconomic uses and magico-religious experience on migration paths; 3) Religion and migratory networks; 4) Religious treatment of the migration issue.

Ce colloque, qui privilégie les réflexions plurielles et les approches innovantes, reconstitue et analyse les trajectoires de la ville de Bouaké. Ce faisant, il s’intéresse à cette grande métropole du centre de la Côte d’Ivoire de sa fondation en 1898 à nos jours afin de cerner, au-delà de l’examen des évolutions et des permanences, tout ce qui fait sens et est susceptible de contribuer à la renaissance de Bouaké.

La Fondation Croix-Rouge française est une fondation de recherche dédiée à l'action humanitaire et sociale. Reconnue d'utilité publique (FRUP), elle porte la volonté de la Croix-Rouge française de promouvoir la réflexion scientifique, la réflexion éthique et l'innovation sociale pour faire avancer l'action au service des plus vulnérables. La fondation a pour objectif de mobiliser la communauté scientifique à proximité des populations en souffrance, au Nord comme au Sud, pour apporter des réponses concrètes et durables. Dans cette optique, elle finance et accompagne des chercheurs indépendants, en priorité issus des terrains d'intervention, par l'attribution de bourses postdoctorales en sciences humaines et sociales.

The sea: paradoxes, challenges and challenges for the Gulf of Guinea states in the 21st century
The Gulf of Guinea is a region where in its evolution, the sea has become increasingly important and the maritime issues find all their illustrations. The legal aspect finds the economic one, and meets geopolitics. The issue of safety at sea is visible. The sea is, in this region of the world, a place of cooperation and belligerence, of encounter but also of greed and separation. It is a very rich maritime area, but one that fails to generate prosperous states. The book project aims to elicit a plural reading on a transdisciplinary construction of the Gulf of Guinea sea. Through an opening, it challenges many fields for national, sub-regional or even international issues. He therefore encourages social scientists, lawyers, economists, political scientists, environmentalists, etc. to submit original contributions.

Le monde intertropical enregistre sa plus forte croissance économique depuis vingt ans. Cette dernière s’explique notamment par une forte demande mondiale pour les matières premières et un investissement accru dans ces secteurs. L’exploitation et le commerce des matières premières représentent la principale source de devises étrangères et de recettes fiscales pour de nombreux pays de la zone intertropicale. Il est donc question de poser autrement la question de la malédiction des ressources naturelles. Les pays qui tirent une forte rente de l’exploitation de matières premières voient souvent la majorité de leur population sombrer dans la pauvreté et la précarité.

The Portuguese Centre for Humanities (CHAM) is an inter-University research unit of the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and of the Universidade dos Açores, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. CHAM’s team includes researchers from different disciplinary fields (Archaeology, Art History, Heritage, Literature, Philosophy and History of ideas), different domains of History (Economic, Cultural, Political, Social, Religious, History of Science and History of books and reading practices) and specialists from various geographic spaces. From 2015 to 2020, CHAM’s strategic project will focus on “frontiers”. This multi-disciplinary project considers frontiers as limits that distinguished, throughout history, a plurality of societies and cultures, but also as social and cultural constructs that promoted communication and interaction.

L’Institut historique allemand (IHA) et le Centre de recherches sur les politiques sociales (CREPOS) offrent une à deux bourses de doctorat pour une période de 24 mois (prolongeable de 12 mois après une évaluation positive), dont au minimum une sera attribuée à un/e résident/e du Sénégal/d’un pays africain. Nous cherchons un doctorant ou une doctorante capable de mener à bien un projet de thèse s’inscrivant dans la thématique générale du programme de recherche transnational « La bureaucratisation des sociétés africaines ».
