  2020 marque le lancement de la première de la quatrième édition de l’école de recherche CORMED. Cette première édition est composée de 3 journées de rencontres-formation multisituées organisées dans trois pays partenaires : France, Tunisie, Turquie. Chaque journée de rencontre-formation comptera des sessions communes numériques organisées alternativement par un des pays (France, Tunisie, Turquie) et des ateliers de deux heures organisés dans les différents sites des partenaires.

  In recent decades, work has undergone numerous mutations. New questions arise about the perception and value of work, the impact of digitalization, the virtues of the welfare state, and the social and ecological responsibility of employers, employees and companies. All these changes within the sphere of work raise the issue of the sustainability of work in various ways. The Summer Academy aims to explore the relationship between work and sustainability along four thematic axes: Sustainable Work and Ecology, Sustainable Work and Democracy, Sustainable Work and Social Welfare as well as Sustainable Work and Economic Development.

  2010-2020, a decade of change in the Arab world

  Dans le cadre de l’année « Tunisie en Mouvement 2020 », l’université de La Manouba et l’université libre de Bruxelles proposent d’organiser une rencontre scientifique de trois jours réunissant des chercheur·se·s travaillant sur le Maghreb et sur le Machrek autour d’une réflexion sur les dix ans de révoltes et de révolutions qui ont traversé la région. Afin d’alimenter ces échanges, une partie importante du programme est dévolue à des ateliers de réflexion où les étudiant·e·s en master et les doctorant·e·s discutent, par petits groupes coordonnés par des membres du comité scientifique, à propos des thématiques abordées en matinée et ce, à partir de leurs propres terrains de recherche. Ces ateliers seront l’occasion de réfléchir à la multiplicité des acteurs impliqués dans les mouvements de contestations et aux questions politiques qui accompagnent les révoltes. Dans une perspective nationale ou transnationale, les angles sociologiques, politiques, historiques, économiques, etc. permettront ainsi d’approfondir et de développer ces questionnements.

  Art Markets : An Integrated Perspective 2020

  International Summer School - Antwerp-Brussels July 6-10, 2020

  Inspired by the success of the first Art Markets Summer School held in Lyon in June 2019, a second edition of this unique research, training and networking experience will take place in July 2020 in Belgium. A team of international experts from relevant fields such art history, economics, sociology, finance and digital humanities will engage with participants with an academic or professional interest in the global art market. An exciting program combining lectures, workshops and field trips will familiarize the participants with the nature and structure of the art market system. Attention will be given to the theoretical and conceptual frameworks, the various actors in the art market and the available methodological tools to study this fascinating yet complex phenomenon. This immersive experience will inspire and shape new interdisciplinary thinking about the emergence, history and dynamics of art markets around the world.

  Du 23 juin au 2 juillet prochain, l’École nationale de la statistique et de l'administration économique accueillera une école d’été en sciences sociales computationnelles. Déclinaison française du Summer Institute in Computational Social Sciences (SICSS) initié en 2017 à Duke et à Princeton University, SICSS-Paris rassemblera 20 à 25 jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs en sciences sociales (économie, droit, géographie, histoire, science politique, sociologie…) intéressé·e·s à développer leurs compétences et leurs collaborations dans le domaine des méthodes computationnelles.

  Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Summer School 2020

  The Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Conference 2020 will be preceded by a Summer School entitled ‘Not Just Holidays in the Sun’ on 7 July 2020 in Rivoli Municipal Theatre of Porto. The Summer School will offer an opportunity for all interested persons, including those participating in the Conference, to attend workshops directed by specialists in their fields. Our KISMIF Summer School program invites students who are interested in, or currently using, DIY cultures in their research to join us for an exciting and innovative one-day summer school program. The goal of the one-day program will be to encourage discussion and experimentation in the documentation of DIY cultures as much as it will be to encourage a new generation of DIY academics (Punk Ethnographers!) to experiment with digital cinema and performance in their research practices.
