  Heritages values of 20th century architecture: what recognition?

  Critical review and international forward-looking vision

  The heritage values of 20th century architecture, whether they be cultural, social or technical, remain relatively complex to assess, and thus to share, due to lack of perspective and knowledge. The architectural and urban production of the second half of the 20th century was particularly prolific, sometimes remarkable, even exceptional. The energy, ecological transition, the changing habits and lifestyles are leading to the gradual transformation of this built heritage reaching to the end of its life cycle. Since the 1990-2000’s, a movement for heritage making has developed, which leads to many questions relating to possible and desirable developments of these architectural achievements. This  issue of  In  Situ  seeks  to  take a European or international critical perspective on the architecture of the 20th century and to highlight doctrines and positions adopted, practices and examples of schemes, policies or projects.

  The aesthetics and politics of the archive in art

  Proteus journal no.17

  Ce numéro portera sur les enjeux politiques de l’archive dans le monde de la création artistique. Nous nous intéresserons au rôle de l’artiste tant dans la création d’archives (réelles ou fictives) que dans leur réactivation et leur transmission. L’affectivité qui peut insuffler ou s’injecter dans ses pratiques pourra être mise en discussion, de même qu’il s’agira de nous interroger sur les processus artistiques par lesquels l’archive peut révéler sa dimension politique. Le regard de l’artiste porté sur les images convoquées dialectise une histoire du regard où les manières de percevoir les images deviennent critiques. La question de l’artification de l’archive se pose alors et les conditions comme les perspectives offertes par celle-ci pourront être interrogées. Il sera aussi possible de poser un regard épistémologique sur le sujet en réfléchissant à la place du document d’archive dans les corpus des chercheur·ses en art.

  Energy communities for collective self-consumption: frameworks, practices and tools

  Renewable and recovered energies are increasingly mobilized at the building, village or city level. At the same time, "energy communities" are emerging at the initiative of citizens with the support of local authorities, associations or companies. These transformations are reshaping spaces, institutions and norms governing energy networks, housing or cities and are pushing stakeholders to act. The aim of this multidisciplinary conference is to update and compare the framework, practices and tools of energy communities, which are considered here as local mediation between production and consumption.
