Post-War: the 1920, construction of a new world?
Selon une perspective d’histoire transnationale et d’histoire comparée, il s’agit ici de faire le point sur la littérature la plus récente consacrée aux années vingt sous l’angle de la circulation des modèles, de l’importance des réseaux constitués à l’échelle européenne ou dans les espaces atlantiques, des mouvements transnationaux et des logiques de rivalité et de solidarité. Nous nous intéresserons tout particulièrement à l’irruption de nouveaux acteurs et de nouveaux enjeux sur la scène internationale, aux phénomènes transnationaux ayant traversé les sociétés de la péninsule Ibérique et de l’Amérique latine et au positionnement des acteurs de ces pays face aux défis de l’après-première guerre mondiale.

The army in Cameroon: a contribution to African military history
Inventory and epistemological issues
Longtemps marginalisée dans les recherches effectuées au Cameroun au lendemain des indépendances, l’histoire militaire a été quasi absente dans les débats historiques et méthodologiques au moment où la première génération des intellectuels africains se questionnait sur la restitution d’une histoire authentique africaine. Il a fallu attendre le début des années 1990 pour assister à un renouveau dans l’historiographie camerounaise avec l’entrée analytique du fait militaire grâce à certains « ouvreurs d’imaginaires » du département d’histoire de l’université de Yaoundé I. Cette spécialisation s’est étendue dans les autres universités camerounaises et est devenue par la suite une préoccupation épistémologique suscitant un intérêt chez de nombreux chercheurs au Cameroun. Cet ouvrage donne la possibilité aux experts, aux chercheurs et sympathisants de l’histoire militaire d’élargir leur recherche sur la question; de mener des efforts vers un renouvellement épistémologique et de nouvelles grilles d’interprétations de manière transversale pour rendre compte de la complexité des transformations de l’armée camerounaise dans la « longue durée ».

Online Course on the US Original Constitution and its Reception in Brazil
In times of Covid19, the Federal University of Paraiba, UFPB, opens this course to the global audience. Students from the world will have the opportunity to discuss the USA and Brazil's constitutional history from the Founding Era to the end of the nineteenth century with an instructor and Brazilian students of its Graduate Program in Law. The UFPB offers these lectures through the Google Meet platform with a limited number of spots for better development of the studies and discussions amongst participants. Some international scholars will take part in the course as special guests presenting seminars about their newly published books or legal articles in which they are authors on subjects connected to constitutional matters. 100% online course.

The South Atlantic route and the business of the maritime transport of migrants (1870-1960)
The objective is to propose a special issue to the Journal of Transatlantic Studies, by contributing for the understanding of the business of emigrant maritime transport from the Belle Epoque until the end of the 1960s. The editors of the special issue (Yvette Santos and Paulo César Gonçalves) accept proposals focused on the study of the migration industry linked to the maritime transportation of emigrants from Europe to the South Atlantic countries.

Four years after the foundation of NETCOR at NOVA FCSH, in Lisbon, and after several interdisciplinary meetings and congresses held in recent years in several participating research centres that were the founders of this Network, in Europe and Brazil, the II NETCOR Congress is announced. The theme of this first edition of the Biennal Congress, of an international and interdisciplinary nature, is devoted to labour transformations and aims to discuss theoretical and empirical explanations of the changing nature of labour organization and labour regimes in the contemporary period, from 1850 to 1945.

Ses dimensions matérielles et immatérielles en font une nouvelle architecture mondiale, une plateforme en évolution constante au service d’interactions internationales multilatérales et bilatérales. Elles ambitionnent de restructurer la gouvernance mondiale multi-sectorielle dans un contexte de forte interdépendance qui exclut une confrontation directe. Quels sont ses sources, ses moyens et son rayonnement ? S’agit-il d’une déconstruction de l’héritage politique et économique occidental ? Quelles en sont les perceptions par les principaux partenaires de la Chine (ordre de substitution ou affrontement, complémentarité ou rivalité) ?

The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) announces a Summer School co-organised with the European University Institute (Florence) and the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History (Frankfurt), to be held at the Maison Robert Schuman in Luxembourg City from 22nd to 26th June 2020. This Summer School invites to test digital tools and methods for oral history and stresses how digital oral sources contribute to narratives in European Integration History.

A road-trip through the cultural landscapes of food-production
Le colloque Les routes des paysages culturels alimentaires veut approfondir les « routes » au sens large du terme, itinéraires géographiques matériels actuels et passés, trajectoires des acteurs, filières économiques, règlements politiques, groupements de producteurs... Le terme « paysages culturels alimentaires » est à remettre dans l'acception de l'Unesco, tout paysage présente des fondements civilisationnels et culturels et pour certains d'entre eux peuvent être considérés comme des éléments patrimoniaux, ici de l'ordre agro-alimentaire. Ils peuvent donc être identifiés, protégés par un label qui les valorisent. C'est ainsi que le vin et l'huile d'olive se rapportent à la civilisation méditerranéenne, le thé et le riz à la civilisation de l'Asie... Les organisateurs du colloque font l'hypothèse que les routes de ces paysages alimentaires, vecteurs de mondialisation s'influencent de telle manière qu'ils peuvent se ressembler selon des modèles invariants.
