L’amélioration continue du niveau de vie a joué un rôle, de même que la forte hausse des prix de l’immobilier des années 2000. Cette amélioration du niveau de patrimoine moyen ne doit pas faire oublier qu’il est très inégalement réparti et que raisonner uniquement en moyenne masque des disparités importantes, en particulier selon les âges, le sexe ou la catégorie socio-professionnelle. Ce numéro de de Retraite et société a pour objectifs de décrire le patrimoine des personnes âgées, de comprendre les déterminants de son accumulation et les inégalités qui en résultent à la retraite.

  La diplomatie des villes représente aujourd’hui un défi intellectuel pour les théoriciens des relations internationales et d’une certaine manière pour tous ceux qui s’intéressent aux questions urbaines et éducatives. La diplomatie des villes incarne aussi la lisibilité que prend la décentralisation là où elle est mise en place. Cette dernière, lorsqu’elle touche à toute l'action publique, elle met en place une réforme qui conduit à de changements des pratiques à travers une soft révolution. Elle est supposée renforcer le pouvoir local pour concevoir un nouveau modèle de l'action publique dont la matérialisation fait appel à la diplomatie des villes. C’est d’ailleurs dans cette optique qu’il faille désormais analyser l’impact des objectifs du développement durable (ODD) dans les pays africains. La décentralisation via la diplomatie des villes peut mieux s’approprier des ODD. Il est pour cela important que les villes africaines s’arriment aux ODD.

  The expansion and culture of herbs around the world - text and image

  From the peaks of the Himalaya to the Mediterranean Sea, from the outset of the Silk Road to the far reaches of the Eurasian continent, the economy and culture of herbs has expanded over the course of time. Whether used as common products of consumption or considered as rare and valuable commodities, sold in their raw form or transformed, these medicinal or aromatic herbs have become precious cultural ambassadors in encounters with more and more faraway horizons. This book project centers on the idea of herbs as vectors of encounters and cultural exchanges. Indeed, the expansion and use of herbs around the world have led to the emergence of interacting and expanding cultural practices. The focus will be on defining the specific fields pertaining to the knowledge of herbs, with a particular interest in their cultivation, harvesting, commercialisation and circulation.
