À la suite d’une récente étude géophysique, à la lumière des hypothèses et des découvertes induites par les recherches pluridisciplinaires, le musée de Saint-Antoine-l’Abbaye a souhaité enrichir son parcours muséographique, repensé en 2016, à l’aune du numérique. La modélisation de l’église abbatiale de Saint-Antoine s’inscrit tout naturellement dans cette démarche de vulgarisation scientifique et ouvre désormais d’autres horizons à investiguer.

5th International "Language and Territory" Colloquium
This multidisciplinary colloquium will discuss the different ways that languages and territories are linked, and will show the political, social and economic stakes that arise from the relationships between them. Above all, these terms refer to men and women with their social practices and representations, at the core of the logic of territoriality. New territories give rise to new language practices, which, in turn, create new spaces, discourse and meaning. The "boundaries" we draw between languages and territories are permeable in time and space, depending on factors such as population displacement, language policies, linguistic and social representations, education, mass media and socio-cultural values.

Omeka est devenu un des principaux outils d'édition et de valorisation de corpus, de fonds, d'archives et de bibliothèques numériques. Depuis 12 ans (la première version a été publiée en février 2008), son usage s'est diffusé au sein des projets de recherche, des laboratoires, des bibliothèques, des institutions culturelles et des sociétés savantes. Autour, s’est développé un véritable écosystème de pratiques, de services et de développements que nous proposons d’aborder lors de deux journées d'études ouvertes à toutes et tous ayant un projet de publication numérique de contenus ou étant intéressés par l'étude et la valorisation de données culturelles.

International conference of the Association internationale de la couleur (2020)
Après 35 ans d’absence des congrès de l’Association internationale de la couleur, la France accueillera le XVIe colloque international de l’AIC organisé par le Centre français de la couleur. Le développement de l’économie numérique à l’échelle mondiale conduit à replacer la couleur dans d’autres dimensions « virtuelles » et surtout à associer différentes disciplines telles que l’histoire, l’art et l’architecture, vidéo, impression 2D et 3D, informatique graphique, imagerie numérique, etc. Couleurs des milieux naturels, couleurs et lumières du ciel, couleurs extraites des matières de l’environnement, couleurs végétales, minérales, animales, etc. dialoguent et rencontrent les couleurs numériques sous toutes leurs formes : Atlas, nuanciers, diagrammes CIE, espaces colorimétriques, réalité virtuelle et augmentée, analyse et synthèse d’image, patrimoine reconstruit et restauration, écrans et visualisation, photographie et vidéo, création artistique, design de formes et de matières, langages, etc.

Art Markets : An Integrated Perspective 2020
International Summer School - Antwerp-Brussels July 6-10, 2020
Inspired by the success of the first Art Markets Summer School held in Lyon in June 2019, a second edition of this unique research, training and networking experience will take place in July 2020 in Belgium. A team of international experts from relevant fields such art history, economics, sociology, finance and digital humanities will engage with participants with an academic or professional interest in the global art market. An exciting program combining lectures, workshops and field trips will familiarize the participants with the nature and structure of the art market system. Attention will be given to the theoretical and conceptual frameworks, the various actors in the art market and the available methodological tools to study this fascinating yet complex phenomenon. This immersive experience will inspire and shape new interdisciplinary thinking about the emergence, history and dynamics of art markets around the world.

Des institutions telles que le Centre d’archives Gaston-Miron (CAGM) à Montréal, les Archives et Musée de la littérature (AML) à Bruxelles, les Archives littéraires suisses (ALS) ou l’Institut Mémoires de l’édition contemporaine (IMEC) en conservent chacune un nombre qui se chiffre en milliers, en majeure partie numérisés.

Call for papers - Epistemology and methodology
Fair Heritage: Digital Methods, Scholarly Editing and Tools for Cultural and Natural Heritage
The purpose of the conference is to bring together multiple research communities and stakeholders working with Open Science and FAIR principles in the context of heritage studies. As advocated by the European Commission, FAIR principles play a decisive role to define guidelines and valuable tools for managing data in robust ways. We are particularly interested in research questions addressing both methodological and application challenges emerging from data management practices (e.g., data modeling, sharing, integration, analysis, etc.). The conference will provide guidance and ensure the sustainability and implementation of the FAIR model in the context of the European Open Science Cloud. For this purpose to be achieved, the conference will host practical sessions where participants can familiarize with existing methods and tools, and can present their own applications.

The private uses of photography in the European empires
Depuis une vingtaine d’années, les sources visuelles sont l’objet d’une attention croissante de l’histoire coloniale dans le sillage des Post-colonial studies. Ces études ont permis la déconstruction des clichés et des stéréotypes raciaux diffusés dans les métropoles européennes par le biais de supports multiples : peintures orientalistes, affiches de propagande coloniale, publicités et cartes postales. Parmi ces différents supports, la photographie a joué un rôle de premier plan en devenant l’un des mediums privilégiés pour documenter l’expansion et le développement de l’impérialisme européenne à partir de la fin du XIXe siècle. Qu’elles prennent la forme de supports ethnographiques, de cartes postales pittoresques ou de reportages journalistiques, ces photographies sont destinées à un usage public et visent à légitimer l’emprise coloniale aux yeux des opinions publiques européennes.
