The Sources of Colour: the Gobelins Dyeing Workshop
Jehan Gobelin, a dyer from Reims, set up a workshop in the mid fifteenth century not far from the BièvreRiver, whose water was particularly suitable for dyeing purposes. His descendants, who were experts inthe dyeing of wool in Venice scarlet, soon acquired vast stretches of land that ran alongside the Bièvre andconstructed large workshops. Henri IV rented them and had tapestry workshops installed on the sites. This rich diachronic and multidisciplinary history is the topic of these study days, the first ever devoted tothe Gobelins dyeing workshop, in its long history. Based on unprecedented sources or sources seen from afresh perspective, these study days aims to focus on the latest knowledge concerning the dyeing workshop.

In the context of the 80th anniversary of the Atlantic Charter and Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union, this conference seeks to reflect on understandings of sovereignty, self-determination and self-government, their place in public discourse and their translation into British policies – local, national and international. Following the work of historians Martin Thomas and Richard Toye on politics and rhetoric, this conference will discuss the conceptual and practical tensions between the supranational, the transnational and the international, and how issues of sovereignty and self-determination have been mediated to the British people – in the media but also through cultural policies and projects, recasting the state in a multi-layered set of paradiplomatic actors. It will specifically seek to shed light on the connections and faultlines between processes of decolonisation, devolution and (de-)Europeanisation.

Michael Jackson's artistic contributions: a different perspective
The number of academic studies on Michael Jackson has increased in recent years, no doubt coinciding with both an awareness of his impact on the music industry, music history and society, and the growing interest he represented for cultural studies. However, many of the studies concerning him have focused much less on his artistic contributions than on the so-called anxiety-provoking fluidity of his artistic image, often examined through the prism of “race”. By dedicating a special issue to Michael Jackson, NaKan proposes to shift this perception and broaden the approaches that are too often melano-centric to generate a reflection that is more oriented towards the artist's work and the mediums of his expressions, as so many channels offering a possibility of contextualization, and historical and stylistic analysis.

Covid-19, Migration and Migratory Parkours
From Mobility to the Prisms of Immobility: Paradoxes and Realities
The notion of migratory parkour proposes to apprehend migration as a process that varies according to the spaces crossed, the resources mobilized and personal choices, implying a particular will and intention, according to the opportunities, constraints and risks encountered. It also considers the interactions between multiple actors (migrants, States, criminal groups, solidarity collectives). Beyond these experiences linked to the “route”, the migratory parkour also encompasses the process of integration/inclusion in the host society and of return/repatriation in the country of origin. The general objective of this call of Revue Européenne des Migrations Internationales is then to question the heuristic value of the notion of migratory parkour in the context of Covid-19.

The seminar Rencontres d’histoire et philosophie des sciences aims to promote a history and philosophy of science in which, in the words of Aldo Mieli (1935), “the unity of scientific thought” is “brought to the forefront, in relation to the multifaceted developments of particular sciences”. In order to do this, it seems imperative to us to involve all those who have an interest in the history and philosophy of science in its most diverse expressions in order to consolidate a community which, to exist, must regain its collegiality.

Due to the exponential increase in the cybercriminality phenomena, the development of huge investments in digitalization, the adoption of a law on cyber security and cybercriminality, as well as a national policy of cyber security, Cameroon has become a new center of gravity and reference of cyber security in Central Africa ; even if knowledge on the phenomenon is still fragmentary. Anthropological Knowledge Production and Power Relations

The Caribbean against the Covid19: A global crisis and local solutions
"Études caribéennes" Journal #48
Officially affected by the COVID19 pandemic in early March 2020, the Caribbean Basin is concerned about the fragility of its social fabric and the wide disparities in public health policies from one State to another, which make a comprehensive response at the regional level impossible. The situation worsened at the end of May with the withdrawal of US funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), finally condemning the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), an emblematic figure in the fight against epidemics in the islands and on the continent, to a drastic reduction in its interventions, or even its disappearance. In this way, this issue seeks to respond to various concerns about the regional impact of the pandemic, around the central issue: to what extent the economic, political and/or social impact hovers around unresolved points in the construction of Caribbean Nation-States that prevent them from facing the crisis.

Challenges, Trends and Research: Audiovisual Screenwriting
From connoisseurs, amateurs, consecrated authors, curious people, to people interested in professionalizing, we have seen the growing interest in Screenplay Writing for Cinema and Audiovisual products, in the last twenty years, in Brazil. Initially, slowly, but then at an exponential pace as a result of market changes, the new perspectives provided by technologies, the possibilities for new expressive and participative experiences, the diversification of distribution formats and platforms and, mainly, the easy access to information on the topic that has fueled this trend. In the professional aspect, the consolidation of ABRA, Brazilian Screenwriters Authors Association - in 2017, resulting from the merger of two previous associations, elevated the professional screenwriter from a previously unstable status and highlighted him towards his autonomy.

Influence and organizations: cultures, practices and perspectives
Revue « Communication & organisation »

The world: a concept in literature and philosophy

Death and Migration: Perspectives from the Post-Soviet Space
This dossier of Revue européenne des migrations internationales proposes to take up a research theme that has undergone a strong renewal of interest in recent years, that of death and migration. This dossier aims to shed light on an area which has been little studied from this angle (the post-Soviet space) and to develop an approach which focuses on the management of bodies 'dead in the distance' (deaths in migration, deaths due to migration). This dossier also focuses on the effects of a certain proximity to death on the practices of foresight and mutual aid (when they exist) in the migratory context, as well as their impacts on migration as a whole. Two thematic axes will guide the contributions: the first concerns the practical modalities of the management of dead bodies abroad; the second concerns mitigating and solidarity practices in relation to the proximity of death in migration.
