L’objectif du séminaire Normes, exceptions, transgressions (N.Ex.T.) est d’interroger les rapports entre normes, exceptions et transgressions à travers l’analyse de discours normatifs, de pratiques sociétales et de leurs représentations dans différents domaines, tels la littérature, l’histoire ainsi que dans tous les autres champs disciplinaires des sciences humaines et sociales. Le séminaire entend appréhender les liens complexes entre normes, exceptions et transgressions, et ce dans une perspective interdisciplinaire variant les grilles d’analyse. À cet égard, il s’agira d’analyser les phénomènes d’assimilation et de rejet des normes, en prenant en considération la complexité des relations que l’individu entretient avec celles-ci. On mesurera à quel point les prescriptions normatives ne peuvent être réduites à des servitudes et combien l’individu possède, en dépit des théories culturalistes, une autonomie qui lui permet d’être acteur de l’histoire.

Witchcraft and moral harassment : forms of insidious violence
A comparative study of witchcraft and bullying has never been attempted, although these two forms of insidious violence seem comparable. This workshop aims to show, by mobilizing the tools of clinical psychology and social sciences, how insidious violence develops as a system with real agents in certain contemporary societies (in Europe and outside Europe), but also in the form of a collective belief in the existence of essentially harmful characters (the “narcissistic pervert”). Witchcraft and harassment thus seem to be organized around a distribution of roles that could be compared: the culprit (sorcerers / stalkers), the experts (counter-sorcerers / psychological or legal experts), witnesses / accusers and the victims. Basically, there are many proven attempts at bewitchment and harassment, but also situations of suspicion of bewitchment or harassment, fueled by socially constructed representations. In other words, we start from the idea that insidious violence can be both a practice of actual aggression and a system of interpreting signs supported by a community.

The ERC MAP Seminar “The Names of the Gods! 5: Who named the gods? Utterers, addressers, ritual agents” pursues the investigation on the systems of naming of the divine. This year, it focuses on the human agents in the process of naming the divine, whether they are producers of a discourse on the deities, addressers in a communication with the deities, or even experts in charge of a ritual knowledge. What agency do men and women exercise in the production of a specific denomination of the divine? How can we question their choices, their anchoring in a tradition or their innovation strategies?

The junior researchers and PhD students from the Anthropology of the ancient world curriculum of the PhD course in Classics and Archeology are promoting the fourth edition of the seminar cycle Classicamente. Dialoghi Senesi sul Mondo Antico. This year's edition will focus on the varied methodologies and hermeneutical perspectives which represent the scientific guidelines followed by scholars in anthropology of the ancient world ever since its development. It will also focus on those approaches that today contribute to a constant enrichment and renovation of this field of study. Our goal is to offer to all those who take part the chance to present their work, be it the result of long research or elements of a work in progress, in an enviroment open to discussion between different perspectives (anthropological, philological, historical, archeological, semiotic etc.).

The historical anthropology of the nomadic arts - ethnoscenology seminar
Séminaire d'ethnoscénologie
Ce séminaire entend étudier les formes performatives, spectaculaires et à dimension dialogique forte, qui s’articulent autour d’un axe non seulement technique, entendu dans la perspective maussienne, mais aussi et surtout esthétique : cirque, mime, danse, théâtre, arts martiaux. Par sa perspective éthico-pratique, l’anthropologie théâtrale a montré comment l’artiste de spectacle vivant et ses créations se caractérisent par leur « nomadisme ». Or, il arrive que la liberté de créer des œuvres, éphémères par nature, se paie au prix de l’absence d’établissement fixe, de la circulation forcée, de l’exil, mais aussi au bénéfice de la rencontre, du devenir autre, de la connaissance, du partage et du métissage. Le séminaire s’attachera d’abord à historiciser le nomadisme des arts du spectacle vivant, c’est-à-dire les processus négociés par l’artiste pour acclimater, adapter voire réinventer selon les circonstances, ses techniques du corps et de transmission, ses esthétiques et ses sensibilités.

L’objectif du séminaire « Femmes et religions en Méditerranée » est de s’intéresser à la manière dont les femmes des deux rives de la Méditerranée ont vécu dans le passé, et vivent et interagissent actuellement, dans un espace social, culturel et religieux particulier. L’espace méditerranéen est en effet marqué depuis des siècles par la concurrence de plusieurs traditions religieuses qui partagent - entre autres - une même culture fondatrice apparue dans un contexte antique, médiéval (ou même moderne), de nature résolument patriarcale.
