La Caisse nationale des Allocations familiales (Cnaf) propose jusqu’à six prix pour des propositions d’articles scientifiques pour la Revue des politiques sociales et familiales. Ces propositions, inédites et à auteur unique, doivent s’appuyer sur une recherche de master 2 ou de thèse terminée depuis moins de deux ans, ou sur une recherche doctorale en cours. Elles doivent porter sur l’analyse des politiques familiales et sociales ou des phénomènes sociaux en lien avec les familles ou avec la précarité. Les prix sont assortis d’une gratification de 1.000 € chacun, à l’exception du premier pour lequel elle est de 1.500 €.

La Caisse nationale des allocations familiales (Cnaf) lance un appel à candidatures pour un contrat à durée déterminée de trois ans adossé à une Cifre (salaire 25.000 € brut annuel). Les projets de thèse doivent porter sur l’analyse des politiques familiales et sociales ou des phénomènes sociaux en lien avec les familles ou avec la précarité. La Cnaf n’attend pas de projet de thèse appliqués ou opérationnels. Le temps de présence sur place est de 20% en moyenne.

L’importance déterminante des métiers de services est apparue de manière criante au cours de la dernière année face à la crise sanitaire mondiale de la Covid 19. Ces emplois précaires et peu qualifiés se sont retrouvés en « premières lignes » pour certains (caissières) et on était rendu inutiles pour d’autres (serveuses) du fait des fermetures. Cette journée d’étude se penchera en priorité sur les métiers où l’on trouve une majorité de femmes souvent étant les plus précaires.

Disability and geography: spatialities of disability and social and professional integration
8th EUGEO Congress on the Geography of Europe
The disability rights movement laid the foundation for the current development of disability studies. A number of geography-based studies have been part of this stream of research since the 1990s. From different theoretical perspectives, they aim to study the links between disability and spatial injustice or to explore the sensitive dimension of the spatial relationships of people with disabilities. This EUGEO 2021 session wishes to highlight all the work that considers disability and its issues through a spatial approach. Whether the study of the mobility of people with disabilities or the analysis of their objective and subjective links with space, work that analyzes the spatialities of disability in their multiplicity and diversity will be particularly appreciated. With the aim of understanding to what extent space can be an asset or a hindrance for people with disabilities, this session also encourages work that questions the different logics of social and professional integration and in particular the influence of the living environment in these logics.

Witchcraft and moral harassment : forms of insidious violence
A comparative study of witchcraft and bullying has never been attempted, although these two forms of insidious violence seem comparable. This workshop aims to show, by mobilizing the tools of clinical psychology and social sciences, how insidious violence develops as a system with real agents in certain contemporary societies (in Europe and outside Europe), but also in the form of a collective belief in the existence of essentially harmful characters (the “narcissistic pervert”). Witchcraft and harassment thus seem to be organized around a distribution of roles that could be compared: the culprit (sorcerers / stalkers), the experts (counter-sorcerers / psychological or legal experts), witnesses / accusers and the victims. Basically, there are many proven attempts at bewitchment and harassment, but also situations of suspicion of bewitchment or harassment, fueled by socially constructed representations. In other words, we start from the idea that insidious violence can be both a practice of actual aggression and a system of interpreting signs supported by a community.

Frontières, temporalités, matérialités au prisme de la santé
Depuis trois ans, ce séminaire fait le choix de promouvoir des explorations du champ de la santé qui privilégient des regards mobilisant les notions transversales de frontières, de temporalités et de matérialités. À la lumière des actualités sanitaires qui marquent l’année 2020, les thématiques au cœur de ce séminaire pourraient bien se révéler encore plus riches et pertinentes. La crise du coronavirus agit en effet comme un puissant révélateur du caractère éminemment social et politique de la santé. Plus que jamais auparavant, les enjeux sanitaires font débat à une très large échelle : mesures de prévention, efficacité des traitements, conflits d’intérêts et méthode scientifique… Dans ce contexte inédit, les analyses des sciences sociales de la santé sont indispensables, à la fois pour saisir la pandémie de Covid-19 en cours – qui fait l’objet de la séance inaugurale – mais aussi plus largement en proposant des perspectives décentrées (socialement, historiquement ou géographiquement) de l’actualité immédiate.

Créé en 1988, le Fonds Louis Dumont pour la recherche en anthropologie sociale offre annuellement une aide ponctuelle dévolue exclusivement à des projets d'enquête sur le terrain. Il s'adresse à de jeunes chercheurs ethnologues et anthropologues, de niveaux master 2, doctorat et post-doctorat, sans condition de nationalité mais obligatoirement basés et inscrits en France. Il est géré par la fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme.

Influencer practices in the 20th-21st centuries
Le réseau d’étude des pratiques d’influence (Répine) est né avec l’objectif de mettre en discussion un certain nombre de recherches qui portent sur les différents domaines de l’influence. Cette année, Répine organise un séminaire à l’EHESS avec une série d’invitées et d’invités sur des sujets tout aussi actuels que l’économie de l’attention et l’économie comportementale, les relations publiques, la publicité, les influenceurs, les réseaux sociaux, etc.

Call for papers - Ethnology, anthropology
Domestic accumulation, decluttering, and the stuff of kinship in anthropological perspective
We invite submissions of abstracts considering the following sorts of questions: What is the relationship between storage and the labor of kinship? What kinds of possessions are sources of obligation? Which are experienced as social or animate beings? What social practices and spatial processes surround waste, excess, and the riddance of objects from the home? How might local ethnographic concepts like hau orbrol inform the anthropological understanding of attachment to possessions, recycling, or the circulation of second-hand objects? When is accumulation a valued social practice, and when is it morally suspect? How is the space of storage constructed in relationship to the social space of the home, and how might this reflect on the local category of stored things? We invite authors to consider how practices such as storage, stockpiling, and purging of belongings can be approached anthropologically in order to provide both nuanced ethnographic depth and broader cross-cultural and historical perspective. Interdisciplinary perspectives are also welcome.

Ce séminaire poursuit le travail initié en 2019-2020 sur les structurations et recompositions des classes populaires dans le Japon contemporain, analysées à partir d’une enquête ethnographique de cinq ans (2012-2017) dans un quartier populaire de Tokyo. Cette année, un accent particulier sera mis sur les aspects méthodologiques de l’enquête et de sa restitution écrite ou filmique.

Silences, rumours and cultural transfers (19th-21st century)
Ce séminaire doctoral entend s’engager dans une étude historique des ateliers d’artistes de 1880 à 2020. Pratiquant une sociologie des organisations qui postule que l’atelier du créateur compose une structure en soi, fonctionnelle car réglementée par des codes énoncés ou symboliques, catégorielle puisque régie par des habitus régulant les valeurs d’échanges, agissant au singulier ou selon un système collectif quand y pénètrent, outre le « maître » : les apprentis, les disciples, la/les muses, les modèles, les amis, les commanditaires, les collectionneurs etc., on avance que l’atelier fait office d’institution culturelle première.

PJCV seeks articles exploring themes of conflict and violence in the life, work, thought, and intellectual legacy of Jacques Ellul (1912-1994). An “atypical, uncategorizable thinker, transgressing disciplinary borders” (François Dosse), Ellul penned a vast corpus of provocative and original writings in two broad categories: first, sociological writings analyzing elements of twentieth-century western society as expressions of technique (understood as a rational and willful drive will towards ordered efficiency); second, essays in protestant theological ethics and meditative biblical interpretation. These writings bring the voices of Ellul’s three major influences—Søren Kierkegaard, Karl Marx, and the Swiss Protestant theologian Karl Barth—into stimulating dialectical conversation about politics, technology, art, media, communications, institutional evolution, morality, language, anarchy, revolution, urbanism—and notably, violence.
