  La seconde journée d’études du projet ANR ARCHIPAL, Architecture, aluminium et patrimoine (XX^e-XXI^e siècles), aura lieu le 8 février 2021 en distanciel. Intitulée « Bâtir en aluminium : entreprises et architectes », elle fera le point sur les avancées générales des recherches menées dans le cadre du projet ANR. Trois thèmes majeurs ont été retenus : architecture et ingénieur ; le maître d’ouvrage, l’entrepreneur et le bureau d’étude ; et enfin l'industrie, fournisseurs et consommateurs.

  Arts et littératures d’Afrique. Récits, discours, images

  Revue « Legs et Littérature » n°17

  L’Afrique a toujours été vue – à tort ou à raison - comme le berceau de l’humanité, mais peut-on la considérer comme un berceau des arts et de la littérature qu’il faudrait préserver tel un patrimoine, matériel et immatériel, mondial ? Quand on examine l’évolution littéraire et artistique du continent africain, tout porte à penser qu’en ce qui concerne la littérature, le passage de l’oralité à la textualité est attesté, mais qu’en est-il du passage du texte à l’image, fixe et mouvante ? De l’image à l’imaginaire ? Continuent-ils encore d’être traversés par l’oralité et comment ?

  Locating the Lost Archive of Arab Cinema

  This special issue asks how our histories of Arab cinema might change if we tackle the problem of Arab cinema’s lost archive(s). From most of the films made in Lebanon prior to 1975 to the cinemas of Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, and elsewhere, there are many reasons why films and their histories may have been lost to current memory. From structural and environmental issues and the lack of investment in proper storage facilities and maintenance.

  The Social Museum (musée de société) Today, Legacy and Evolution

  Since the end of the 1980s, many ethnographic museums around the world have evolved in line with political issues and current social and cultural preoccupations. Some of these changes have taken place within the framework of the creation of new national museums, especially where multicultural policies are at work. While these institutions’ missions are vastly different, they are frequently regrouped under the umbrella term “social museums”. These museums are dedicated to the representation of societies, both past and present, from varying viewpoints while at the same time demanding a social and civic role through their grappling with contemporary issues of identity, culture, society and environment. This issue of Culture & Musées aims to reformulate this concept in order to better understand its meaning, its uses, but also its most recent evolution within the context of 21^st-century museums.
