Advances and challenges of NLP (Natural Language Processing) for african languages
How far have we come?
This workshop will bring together NTeALan’s large community of members living in Cameroon and abroad, invited researchers, partners and other members of the scientific community. This workshop aims at bringing together professionals, researchers and experts in African languages and Natural Language Processing (NLP), whose research work focuses on machine learning techniques and electronic lexicography applied to NLP and language pedagogy/didactics. We will also discuss the main challenges that arise in this context for the constitution of corpora in African languages. We will define possible directions for future progress.

Médiation, participation et valorisation numérique des mémoires et patrimoines
Le FabPart Lab explore et met en œuvre la fabrique de la participation au sein du laboratoire d'excellence (Labex) « Les passés dans le présent ». Il est un lieu de rencontre, d’échange et d’expérimentation autour de la participation, de la médiation et de la valorisation numériques des mémoires et des patrimoines dans le cadre du Labex et plus largement au sein de monde académique et professionnel de la culture. Les activités du FabPart Lab visent à construire une réflexivité autour de toutes les phases d’un projet : conception, collecte des données, modélisation et documentation, traitement, valorisation et diffusion.

Nebulx apt get fict -404 () project is about the ways in which lives, human and non-humanalike, are entangled with contemporary technologies, and tries to(re)define care consequently. We offer to create a digital journal developing experimental writing modes in order to explore narrative, descriptive and speculative possibilities about contemporary technologies. We encourage the fictionalization of non-fictional materials and/or fieldwork materials (archives, interviews, testimonies, field notes, diaries).

Programming, Curating, and Appropriation of Non-fiction Film
The digital turn, which has created new modes of access and circulation for films, underscores and amplifies what has been the fate of non-fiction film since the beginning of its existence - it has always been, and continues to be, a migrating archive of reality. Practices of digitization, online programming, digital curation, appropriation, and sharing, open up new spaces and layers of meaning. Moreover, they also alter and sometimes overwrite the original or historical meaning of non-fiction films, with significant epistemic, political, and ethical consequences. The conference strives to address these challenges, taking into account the diverse views of (media and film) historians, archivists, (digital) curators, and artists, who could comment on issues of programming, curation and appropriation (especially archival) of non-fiction film in history and today.

Le Bucema, bulletin du Centre d’études médiévales d’Auxerre, est une revue scientifique à comité de lecture consacrée aux études sur le Moyen Âge. Fidèle à son principe de diffusion de la recherche en train de se faire et librement accessible, le Bucema continue à mettre l’accent sur l’interdisciplinarité ‐sciences humaines et sociales, sciences de la nature et mathématiques‐, comme le meilleur moyen d’inventer une nouvelle médiévistique. Il est particulièrement intéressé par les contributions proposant des nouvelles méthodes, faisant état d’expériences dans le domaine des humanités numériques (digital humanities) et des nouvelles technologies, s’interrogeant sur les implications épistémologiques et conceptuelles des recherches sur le Moyen Âge.

Ce colloque émane du programme de recherche Beauviatech, partie française du programme international Technès (Des techniques audiovisuelles et de leurs usages : histoire, épistémologie, esthétique). Si le programme Beauviatech s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux questions techniques sous l’angle d’une étude approfondie de la société française de fabrication de matériel audiovisuel Aaton et de ses relations avec les techniciens et cinéastes des années 1970 à nos jours, ce colloque souhaite élargir la réflexion en questionnant une notion, celle d’immersion, à travers l’histoire technique du cinéma et, plus particulièrement, en interrogeant les spécificités liées à l’argentique puis au numérique.

Y seront abordés les rapports aux frontières, aux espaces clos et aux dynamiques de ségrégation et de fédération au sein des imaginaires des Amériques.
