Applications are open until February 19th for six early stage researchers (PhD research projects) that will be funded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions within the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission through the Innovative Training Network “RE-DWELL: Delivering affordable and sustainable housing in Europe”.

Sustainable and inclusive urban mobility in Europe
This doctoral seminar proposes to discuss and disseminate the results of recent research and ongoing experiments on the multi-level and integrative governance of urban sustainability in Europe, through case studies dealing with Sustainable and inclusive urban mobility.

Beyond Borders - Borders, Democracy and Security
Beyond borders supports research about borders and boundaries in past and present times. It promotes interdisciplinary exchange in the social sciences and humanities. The Call for Applications 2020 is open till January 15, 2021 and focuses on “Borders, Democracy and Security”. The ZEIT-Stiftung offers three types of Ph.D. scholarships: Start Up Scholarships for research project development, Ph.D. Scholarships for up to 3 years and Dissertation Completion Scholarships. We invite applications from Ph.D. students worldwide studying borders and bordering phenomena in different regions of the world. Both empirical research based on extensive fieldwork and projects centered on theoretical reflection are eligible for support. Innovative and challenging research questions as well as comparative approaches are highly welcome.

Sustainable and inclusive urban mobilities in Europe
Le séminaire, organisé avec le soutien du programme Erasmus+ de l'Union européenne dans le cadre de la chaire Jean Monnet Governance of Integrated Urban Sustainability in Europe (GoInUSE), propose de discuter et de diffuser les résultats de recherches récentes et d’expériences en cours sur la gouvernance multi-niveaux et intégrative de la durabilité urbaine en Europe : ses acteurs, ses processus et enjeux, ses expérimentations et thématiques majeures dans et autour des espaces urbains, à l'exemple des mobilités durables et inclusives.

The sociology of the lower classes in contemporary Japan
Ce séminaire poursuit le travail initié en 2019-2020 sur les structurations et recompositions des classes populaires dans le Japon contemporain, analysées à partir d’une enquête ethnographique de cinq ans (2012-2017) dans un quartier populaire de Tokyo. Cette année, un accent particulier sera mis sur les aspects méthodologiques de l’enquête et de sa restitution écrite ou filmique.
