Microfinanzas y la Nueva Izquierda Latinoamericana

The conference brings a number of stakeholders from the microfinance sector, social and political movements, New Left governments as well as academics together in order to discuss and clarify these issues. We expect to contribute to a common frame of analysis and to identify avenues for a more fruitful articulation of microfinance strategies with the emancipatory agendas of Latin American governments and social movements. The conference is a joint organisation of the Latin American and Caribbean Forum for Rural Finance (FOROLACFR), the French Microfinance Network CERISE (Comité d’Échange, de Réflexion et d’information sur les Systèmes Épargne- Crédit), the Center for European Research in Microfinance (CERMI, Mons University) and the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB, University of Antwerp)

Ecoquartiers – Quartiers verts : Où en est-on en Grèce ?

La vitesse de la conception et la mise en place des écoquartiers est aujourd’hui sans précédant ! Le développement durable trouve enfin son application opérationnelle idéale sur l’espace. Les thématiques et les options sont variées et extrêmement intéressantes : modes de déplacement alternatifs, circulation bien limitée des voitures privées, bâtiments basse consommation, ou bâtiments à énergie zéro ou positive, utilisation des eaux pluviales, matériaux écologiques, mixité sociale et urbaine, combinaison avec le logement social, promotion de modes de vie durables en général... Les écoquartiers sont partout de projets urbains exemplaires, promus par leurs communautés en tant que « vitrines» de savoir-faire technique et d’action durable, mais aussi en tant qu'outils de communication tant au niveau national que international.

The question whether a new space of commercial regulation is emerging in Asia is generally addressed through the traditional notion of legal order or legal system. Thus, Chinese Law or Japanese Law on Arbitration, for example, is examined by underlining the specificities of such domestic law. Would it be possible to question the emergence of an Asian space of business law, not only from the exclusive standpoint of legal norms but from the standpoint of the actors themselves and their legal practices?

O ENEC se propõe a estimular o debate sobre o consumo como um fenômeno que já pode ser considerado um campo científico consolidado em diversos países. Juntos, os dois eventos têm por tema a reflexão sobre a “Vida sustentável: práticas cotidianas de consumo”. Os eventos decorrerão na Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, no Rio de Janeiro (Brasil).

The BUFTOD conference is a dedicated arena for the debate on TOD, allowing the crossing of scientific disciplines and the associated approaches, exchanging on cases studies at the international level (in Europe, Americas, Asia ...). The BUFTOD 2012 conference will explore the role of rail and other transport modes in transit oriented development and the connection with spatial development at the urban and regional scales.

Richesse et santé d'une nation : le modèle économique américain en phase critique ?

Les bouleversements consécutifs à la Grande Récession ont renouvelé les termes du débat sur la santé du modèle américain de capitalisme, paradigme économico-politique qui, à la fin du XXe siècle, était encore considéré comme un parangon d'efficience économique dans la majeure partie du monde. Plus de quatre ans après le déclenchement de la crise des subprime, l'économie américaine demeure dans un état critique, et le « modèle » américain, qui a porté atteinte à la santé économique des Américains, réduit la richesse de la nation et plongé l'économie mondiale dans une crise de vaste ampleur, s'en trouve fortement discrédité. Ce colloque se propose d'apporter un nouvel éclairage sur la nature, la vigueur et la viabilité de l'économie des États-Unis et sur le paradigme économico-politique qui lui est associé.
