  Service and/or industry: from Adorno to the Web3

  Les transformations constantes de la création tant dans ses contenus que dans ses moyens nous incitent à observer et définir d’autres rapports dans les politiques et les pratiques, dans l’offre et la demande, dans les contours et les objets du champ culturel. Loin d’un champ unifié ou parfaitement partagé entre arts et industries, le champ culturel est, au contraire, traversé et modelé par des confrontations d’idées et de pratiques, d’intérêts marchands ou esthétiques, politiques ou sociaux qui ont des conséquences visibles dans la prise en charge organisationnelle et communicationnelle des activités qui le définissent.  En prenant appui sur une problématique qui entend éclairer, selon des points de vue allant des théories de l’organisation à la sémiotique des contenus, les évolutions de la communication dans le champ spécifique de la culture, avec ses traductions et composantes managériales, médiatiques et informationnelles, ce colloque et ce numéro de « Communication et management : théories et pratiques » participeront ainsi à la réflexion générale dans une période où les enjeux culturels prennent une nouvelle actualité.

Le Clézio réunit textes critiques, témoignages, entretiens, notes de lectures et documents inédits relatifs à l'oeuvre de J.M.G. Le Clézio. Ce numéro 8 des Cahiers Le Clézio « Les enjeux philosophiques de l’œuvre de J.M.G. Le Clézio » se propose d'examiner le rapport entre l'œuvre de J.M.G. Le Clézio et les thèmes philosophiques présents à travers ses romans et ses essais.

  Contemporary Religious Movements: From Africa to the Americas and Back

  The transatlantic movement of beliefs and of religious practices dates back to the earliest days of the “discovery” of the Americas. Since then, there have been over five hundred years of exchange between the two sides of the Atlantic. In many cases, religious movements brought to the New World by European and African migrants were among those persecuted by the hegemonic religious institutions as heretic or pagan. Sometimes, the crossing to the New World has brought about transformation of old belief systems, leading to the creation of so- called “syncretistic” movements, such as Haitian Voodoo, Rastafarianism, Candomblé, etc. To these, we might add the Pentecostal wave, which in recent decades has been sweeping across both Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa, transforming the religious landscapes.

  American Art in Dialogue with Africa and the African Diaspora

  Since the beginning of the transatlantic slave trade, Africa has played an important — albeit shifting, contested, and often unseen — role in the history of art of the United States. Conference organizers seek original, innovative scholarship investigating heretofore unexamined aspects of this transatlantic dialogue, from the visual culture of slavery and abolitionism to American modernism; from the Black Arts Movement to the contemporary art world.
