  Les envers de l’obsolète : reformulations et réappropriations des paysages post-industriels

  Au moment où il est question de ré-industrialisation comme une possible sortie de crise, nos anciens paysages industriels laissés pour la plupart à l’abandon refont surface. État d’urgence, utopie ou blessure ouverte, bien qu’esthétiquement souvent semblables, ces zones aujourd’hui appelées post-industrielles content tout autant l’histoire de la fin du rêve capitaliste qu’un récit propre à chaque culture voire à chaque groupe ou corporation fondés autour de ces aires de production. Questionnant la sentence de Vladimir Nabokov, Le futur est tout sauf l’envers de l’obsolète, ce colloque s’intéressera a ce qui est encore en jeu, la limaille en somme, résidu tenace et mémoriel de ces espaces post-industriels.

  Call for papers - History

  Stations in wartime 1914-1918

  Organized by AHICF as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the first world war outbreak, the conference, by focusing on stations, should highlight the importance of transport in the first world war history. It aims to bring together historians and social scientists (including junior scholars) and heritage professionals. The call for papers will run from October 1, 2013 to March 1, 2014. Proposals (title, outline, including an indication of prospective sources, brief CV) should be sent by March 1, 2014 to: contact@ahicf.com. Potential authors will be informed of the programme committee’s decision by May 1, 2014. Papers may be presented in English and French.
