Cette rencontre est ouverte aux chercheurs, enseignants, étudiants, journalistes et professionnels que motivent les enjeux de la communication et vise à affûter les problématiques, à susciter le débat et à développer les échanges interdisciplinaires entre personnalités de formations et d’horizons différents.

In recent years, an overt turn back towards the domain of the real has occurred in the arts, with efforts in this direction being witnessed in the visual arts, in music, and in literature alike. In parallel, the status of reality within our linguistic, emotive, and cognitive practices continues to provoke a heated debate among philosophers. Instead of such answers as might be supplied by rigid philosophical paradigms, it seems to us that the debate over the status of reality demands an open dialogue and the contribution of diverse modes of enquiry and reflection.

Transnational itineraries, dialogues and programmes
This one-day conference investigates the role of student movements in individual and collective emancipations, from the struggle for colonial liberation to the challenges posed by contemporary globalisation. This conference seeks to bring these various approaches together, in order to discuss the transnational and connected history of student engagements in colonial liberations and the critical reflection on the multilateral management of conflicts in the postcolonial period. It will investigate internal and external tensions, and the reorganisation of these movements in relation to pacifism, revolutionary struggle, conflict prevention and peace making.

ERASMUS+ Action Jean Monnet
Le projet Ressources sur le modèle socio-économique européen (RESuME), cofinancé par le programme « ERASMUS+Action Jean Monnet institutions » et l’université du Luxembourg, a pour objectif de contribuer à l’étude du modèle socio-économique européen, de ses origines, de ses caractéristiques actuelles et de son développement à venir. Le projet se concentre sur l’interaction entre la société, les acteurs économiques et les autorités publiques, à travers le prisme de la notion de compétitivité européenne. Il mobilise à ce titre l’histoire contemporaine, le droit, l’économie, les sciences politiques, ainsi que la philosophie politique ou la sociologie. Afin d’éclairer ce sujet, le projet RESuME crée une nouvelle série innovante de contributions scientifiques : les Cahiers de recherche Etat, Société, Marché, Europe (Cahiers RESuME).

Queering parenting is the 2nd international conference stemming from the European research council funded study “INTIMATE: Citizenship, Care and Choice - The micro-politics of intimacy in Southern Europe”. This year the conference will focus on LGBTQ parenting. In the aftermath of sexual liberation struggles and biotechnological developments, sexuality and reproduction could be considered separate spheres of human activity.

Traces et mémoires de l'esclavage dans l'espace atlantique
Dans Cultural Trauma: Slavery and the Formation of African American Identity (2001), Ron Eyerman explore la formation de l'identité africaine-américaine à travers le traumatisme culturel de l'esclavage. Au-delà de son impact direct sur celles et ceux qui ont subi l'esclavage, Eyerman considère qu'en tant que processus culturel, le traumatisme est « transmis par l'intermédiaire de diverses formes de représentation et associé à la formation d'une identité et à la construction d'une mémoire collectives ». Cette conférence internationale cherche à examiner les fondements, les mécanismes et l'étendue de ces processus mémoriels.

The Dominicans and the Making of Florentine Cultural Identity
Influences and Interactions between Santa Maria Novella and the Commune of Florence (1293-1313)
Florence, the celebrated city-republic, dominates the historiography of medieval Italy still today. Her glory and crises define the paradigm for investigating other medieval city-states. As attention to medieval cities has increased, so too the history of the Dominican Order has constituted a major field of study, since the Dominicans were at the forefront of the cultural and religious life of Medieval cities. This conference intends to analyse the reciprocal influences and interactions between the activities and works of this constellation of Dominican intellectuals and the making of Florentine cultural identity through the social and political events that consumed the public life of the Commune between 1293 and 1313.

The aim of this conference is to increase awareness about the Mediterranean as a departure and arrival point for the construction of a pluralistic society.

This conference is the result of a cooperation between the Wittgenstein-Prize Project ‘Mobility, Microstructes and Personal Agency’ of the FWF (Austrian National Research Foundation), acting as the local host, and the Laboratoire d’Excellence RESMED (Religions et sociétés dans le monde méditerranéen, University of Paris-Sorbonne), the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS, UMR 8167, Paris), as well as the Institut français d’archéologie orientale (IFAO, Cairo), the École française de Rome (EfR) and the University of Nantes (CRHIA), who have organized the previous two conferences in this series in Rome.

FORMA privileges the dialogue between disciplines and critical traditions. The subject matter of the articles is open. All the texts, as specified in the System of Arbitration section, have to comply with the guidelines established by the entities in charge of indexing scientific journals, with regard to the plurality of the editorial and scientific committees as well as the selection process and revision of published texts. All articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Intellectuals of the Right and Politics in Europe and Latin America
During the interwar period, authoritarian movements and regimes of the right - both of the "old" authoritarian and of the "new" radical varieties - professed their faith in national values but at the same time saw themselves as national agents of an otherwise international intellectual and political wave. Starting from the mid-1920s, a growing sense of shared goals, commonality of vision, and sense of history-making mission led them to draw on each other for inspiration and support. It soon became clear that these movements and regimes embraced ideas from each other, actively studying each other’s discourses and initiatives in the political field. The conference aims to promote a different understanding of the role of intellectuals of the interwar right who perceived themselves as transnational agents “at the service of an idea”.

El V Congreso Internacional «Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad» está organizado conjuntamente por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y la Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte. Bajo el lema Think Clean, se pretende la puesta en común de resultados de investigaciones científicas y nuevas metodologías en el ámbito del dopaje en el deporte. Desde la perspectiva específica de las ciencias humanas y sociales, creemos que esta iniciativa permitirá conocer los factores que inciden en la utilización de métodos y sustancias dopantes. A partir de este conocimiento esperamos fomentar futuras acciones de prevención y control del dopaje y promover comportamientos éticos en el deporte.

In 2017 we focus on the use of visualization in the humanities, and in particular book- and information sciences, history, cultural studies and the arts. World Congress of Jewish Studies
We are putting together a proposal for one session at the World Congress of Jewish Studies focused on Jewish perceptions of the revolutionary period in Europe (1789-1814). Our goal is to generate a discussion about Jewish responses to the French revolutionary transition and emancipatory paradigm in the European broader context, as we believe that Jewish sympathies and resistances should be reconsidered from a multidisciplinary perspective involving political as well as cultural, religious, social and economic issues.
