La psychiatrie contemporaine est traversée par d’importantes lignes de tension qui opposent différentes conceptions de ce que sont un trouble et un malade psychiatriques, de ce qu’il faudrait entreprendre pour permettre aux personnes concernées d’accéder à une vie meilleure, et enfin de la façon de définir cette vie. L’objectif de ce colloque est de cerner les façons par lesquelles une perspective de sciences humaines et sociales peut aider à mieux décrire et comprendre les pratiques quotidiennes, les discours théoriques, les espaces, les acteurs (avec une attention particulière portée aux personnes malades), afin d’en dégager les conceptions de la vie et du vivant humain qui y évoluent et s’y entrechoquent parfois, formant ainsi le paysage normatif complexe des mondes de la psychiatrie contemporaine.

Se soigner par soi-même est une pratique controversée : vilipendée au nom des risques sanitaires ainsi courus, cette pratique peut aussi être exaltée au nom de l’autonomie ainsi déployée. Les messages des pouvoirs publics sont au cœur de la controverse, insistant selon les périodes tantôt sur les risques, et tantôt sur la responsabilité des patients qui pourrait ainsi s’exercer. De telles injonctions contradictoires affectent également les pratiques des professionnels du soin. Pluridisciplinaire et international, les intervenants aborderont les pratiques d'auto-soins mais aussi de nombreux sujets autour de l'automédication : inégalité de santé, déterminants territoriaux de la santé, gestion du corps, histoire de la médecine, circulation du médicament, pluralité thérapeutique, relation soigné-soignant, éducation thérapeutique, etc.

SW4SH 2016: Second International Workshop

Classicists and historians are interested in developing textual databases, in order to gather and explore large amounts of primary source materials. For a long time, they mainly focused on text digitization and markup. They only recently decided to try to explore the possibility of transferring some analytical processes they previously thought incompatible with automation to knowledge engineering systems, thus taking advantage of the growing set of tools and techniques based on the languages and standards of the semantic Web, such as linked data, ontologies, and automated reasoning. SW4SH 2016 aims to provide a leading international and interdisciplinary forum for disseminating the latest research in the field of Semantic Web for the preservation and exploitation of our scientific heritage, the study of the history of ideas and their transmission.

International Festival of African Psychology 2016

The International Festival of African psychology is a huge scientific and cultural interdisciplinary event. This annual activity will be held on this topic: how specific culture and knowledge shape the psychology of African descendants. The aim of this festival is to advocate and bring awareness to the population, so that this approach could be integrated in a global theoretical frame when it comes to conceptualize psychological phenomenon and mental cares. This festival is brought to you by SITWOMAFRIKA, a Research Institute on Trauma Related to Slavery Experience & African Psychology in collaboration with the Institute of Research and African Studies in Haiti at the State University of Haiti (IERAH/ISERSS), and the Psychosocial Department at « Zanmi Lasante »/Partners in Health. This year, we will organize a series of three scientific, artistic, and cultural days activities from May 27 to 29 to shed light and elaborate on today psychological and psychopathological effect of trauma related to past slavery . As a consequence of this event, a discipline of psychology rooted in African philosophy or African centered would be able to (re) emerged.

Les commémorations du bicentenaire du Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, en 1993, ont permis de démontrer la validité d’une histoire historienne du Muséum. Depuis, la recherche s’est révélée féconde. Dans un cadre national et international, elle se lie aux développements de tout le champ de l’histoire naturelle à l’histoire des sciences de l’Homme, dont l’anthropologie et la préhistoire, et met en valeur les ressources archivistiques et patrimoniales du Muséum. Le séminaire « Le Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, objet d’histoire. Recherches, hommes, institutions, patrimoine, enseignement » entend contribuer au partage de la vitalité de ces travaux autour d’un établissement, de ses métiers, de ses réseaux et de ses modèles intellectuels.
