  Historiography of the Perception of Islam through Manuscripts, Korans and their Displacement

  The aim of this workshop is to approach the question of the relationship between Christianity and Islam through the study of the production, circulation and uses of Arabic manuscripts, and mainly Korans, in the late medieval and early modern Mediterranean Europe. Our assumption is that the Balkans, Italy and the Iberian Peninsula form an axis of circulation which is especially significant for our understanding of the Mediterranean Sea as a comprehensive space of cultural, political and religious contact.

  Naming and Mapping the Gods in the Ancient Mediterranean. Spaces, Mobilities, Imaginaries

  Organisé par le projet ERC Advanced Grant “Mapping Ancient Polytheisms. Cult Epithets as an Interface between Religious Systems and Human Agency” (MAP - 741182), le colloque Naming and Mapping the gods in the Ancient Mediterranean. Spaces, Mobilities, Imaginaries souhaite réunir les compétences et les spécialités de multiples disciplines – archéologie, histoire, géographie, anthropologie, histoire des religions, philologie, réception, social network analysis – afin d’envisager à nouveaux frais le corpus documentaire concerné par l’intersection entre le divin et l’espace. Le colloque ambitionne notamment de proposer un angle d’approche innovant : l’intersection entre les espaces et les désignations des dieux.

  Contrat post-doctoral – ERC « Mapping Ancient Polytheisms »

  Dans le cadre du projet ERC Advanced Grant 741182 MAP (Mapping Ancient Polytheisms. Cult Epithets as an Inteface between Religious Systems and Human Agency), coordonné par Corinne Bonnet, un poste contractuel de post-doctorant à temps plein (100%) est à pourvoir, à dater du 16 septembre 2019 à l'université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès. La réalisation du projet peut impliquer des missions scientifiques en France et/ou à l'étranger.
