  Des livres et des idées : le Salon du livre des sciences humaines

  Pour la sixième année consécutive, la Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme fête le livre de sciences humaines, du vendredi 23 au dimanche 25 novembre 2012. Près d’une centaine d’éditeurs, une vingtaine de conférences et de débats d’idées, plus de 50 auteurs et journalistes. L’accès à toutes ces animations est gratuit.

  Le réseau national des professionnels de l'Information scientifique et technique (IST) RENATIS du CNRS, soutenu par la MRCT avec le soutien du département de la coordination et despolitiques transversales du MESR, organise une journée de communication sur le projet français de la Bibliothèque scientifique numérique (BSN) après trois ans de travaux des différents acteurs impliqués.   Lancement de l'Atlas e-Diasporas

  Les technologies de l’information et de la communication (téléphones portables, Internet, base de données informatisées) ont profondément transformé la vie des migrants. On observe en outre depuis une dizaine d’années une prolifération de sites, de blogs ou de réseaux sociaux créés par ou destinés aux diasporas. Ces « e-diasporas » sont-elles un prolongement ou un effet de miroir des diasporas physiques ? Sont-elles à l’origine de nouvelles communautés de diasporas ? Ou plutôt un amplificateur de la mondialisation, d’une société elle-même en train de se « diasporiser » ?

By responding to this survey, you will help the Digital Humanities community discover its extent and diversity, as well as its geographical and linguistic composition.   Complexity, Networks and Internet Regulation

  Séminaire du projet ANR ADAM sur les architectures distribuées

  Why is the Internet so difficult to regulate? In large part, its complexity and size have proved challenging, but there seems to be a lot of ignorance about how it really works. Large interconnected systems such as the Internet display a number of inherent architectural characteristics deeming them well-suited to the study of complex dynamic networks. The starting point of this talk is that it is perfectly possible to use various network science-based tools to explore the contentious issue of Internet regulation. Specifically, the Internet as a dynamic distributed system requires new challenges that rely on that same distributed nature in order to tackle them.
