  History / Sociology workshop: traditions, interrelationships and terrains

  Cet atelier se veut un espace de discussion des divers enjeux soulevés par la confrontation entre histoire et sociologie. A raison d'une séance par mois, de septembre à avril, nous lirons et discuterons collectivement des textes, soit canoniques et fondateurs des deux disciplines, soit témoignant de moments-clés où une confrontation a eu lieu, soit exposant diverses manières de faire à la conjonction des deux disciplines. Les séances pourront aussi, en fonction des demandes et envies des participant, être un lieu d'échange sur nos travaux de recherche respectifs. L'atelier est ouvert à tous, étudiants et doctorants, sans exclusive disciplinaire, rattachés ou non à l’ENS Cachan. Lieu : ENS Cachan, 61, avenue du Président Wilson, 94235 Cachan cedex.   Social Studies of Finance Association. 2011-2012 Seminar

  Ce séminaire mensuel est consacré à la discussion de travaux de sciences sociales consacrées à des objets financier. Selon le principe d'un l'atelier, on y discute à chaque séance une recherche en cours à partir d'un texte que l'intervenant a fait parvenir auparavant aux autres participants. Le séminaire se réunit les mercredi de 18h à 20h, au Centre Maurice Halbwachs.

  L’objectif de ce colloque est d’interroger les choix politiques, organisationnels et économiques qui s’ouvrent aux acteurs politiques en ce temps de retour à la rigueur. Les modèles d’administration de la culture en France et au Royaume-Uni se rapprochant de plus en plus, il apparaît opportun d’examiner la façon dont les gouvernements réagissent aux nouveaux défis auxquels ils sont confrontés afin de déterminer dans quelle mesure ce phénomène de convergence est appelé à durer.

  Estuarine and Lagoon Ecosystem Trajectories

  Throughout the world, estuaries and lagoons are among the most intensely modified and threatened aquatic ecosystems. Moreover, these systems are vulnerable to the consequences of global change. From a management point of view, there is a tremendous and concrete lack of knowledge regarding the functioning of estuarine ecosystems and the socio-economic relations that bind the various actors to these environments. This ECSA symposium will contribute to provide sound science on past and future estuarine and lagoon ecosystem evolution from ecological, social and political point of view. All example of medium and long terms surveys, describing how the ecosystem and socio-ecosystem is evolving are welcome.

  (What) have we learned? New perspectives on the political economy of finance and regulation

  The PhD School is linked to the First Annual Conference of the COST Action on the World Financial Crisis. The PhD School aims at bringing together established scholars and young PhD students from disciplines such as political science, sociology, and economics. Participants are invited to present their work and to receive comments from both junior and senior scholars.
