  Pluridisciplinary approaches

  L’apnée, régulièrement médiatisée, interroge nos contemporains. L’apnée passionne, l’apnée nous coupe le souffle. Après Le Grand Bleu, Free Fall, court métrage sur l’apnée (Gautier-Néry) a été visionné plus de 12 millions de fois. Chacun de nous a essayé de retenir son souffle. Un apnéïste français (Mifsud) est capable de rester 11 minutes et 35 secondes sans respirer. Ce colloque entend contribuer à une meilleure compréhension des pratiques d’apnée. Quels imaginaires aquatiques ? Quelles adaptations de l’organisme ? Quels risques ? Quels profils de pratiquants ? Quels plaisirs ? Comment devient-on apnéiste ? Que nous apprend la recherche médicale sur les apnéistes ? Autant de questions qui seront abordées lors de ce colloque pluridisciplinaire, associant communications scientifiques et témoignages d’apnéistes et d’entraîneurs.

  Folklore and Politics

  The Bronislaw Geremek Institute of European Cultural History – Summer workshops

  These workshops propose to consider the political uses of folklores and the presence of folklore-related elements in new aesthetic phenomena. The IHCE’s summer workshops on “Folklore and Politics” aim to highlight and develop cultural history approaches while being open to other disciplines. Monographic approaches may be accepted, but the workshops definitely aim to explore historiographical stakes, with a view to showing the fertility of cultural history, which never analyses the contradiction of identity as a self-contained phenomenon.
