La fascination exercée sur Albert Camus par les formes théâtrales de l’Espagne du Siècle d’or ne s’observe pas seulement à travers ses adaptations de La Dévotion à la croix de Calderón ou du Chevalier d’Olmedo de Lope. Elle se manifeste aussi dans de nombreux écrits, qu’il s’agisse de conférences, de préfaces ou d’entretiens. Le colloque pluridisciplinaire Le Théâtre d’Albert Camus et le Siècle d’or vise à faire avancer la réflexion sur Camus en tant qu’homme de théâtre.
