  A History of Material Culture and Technology in former “French” Sub-sahara Africa

  A PhD and project position in History

  Darmstadt University of Technology (TU Darmstadt), near Frankfurt, Germany, announces a three-year position for a doctoral student (with the option of a two-year extension), beginning October 1, 2017. We welcome applications from talented and diligent students with research experience from the former “French” parts of Sub-Saharan Africa who are willing to explore new historical perspectives, empirically and methodologically. The successful candidate will become a part of a larger project called “A Global History of Technology, 1850–2000” (GLOBAL-HOT).

  Bourses postdoctorales 2017 du Fonds Croix-Rouge française

  Le Fonds Croix-Rouge française lance son appel annuel à bourses postdoctorales. Cette année, l'appel à candidatures du Fonds comporte deux volets : un « appel général » décliné en trois axes de recherche sur le thème « Réalités et perspectives de la transition humanitaire dans les pays bénéficiaires de l'aide internationale »  et deux « appels partenaires » proposant des sujets spécifiques. Le Fonds AXA pour la Recherche finance un programme postdoctoral concernant la « Gestion des risques et action humanitaire ». Le Fonds Compagnie Fruitière attribue une bourse sur le thème « Entrepreneuriat et humanitaire ».
