  State-Rooms of Royal and Princely Palaces in Europe (14th-16th c.)

  Spaces, Images, Rituals

  From the fourteenth to the sixteenth century, European monarchies saw a gradual centralisation of power. This was accompanied by the dissemination of political ideas that contributed to the making of a new image of the prince, which relied on visual instruments to assert and construct the prince’s sovereign power. Royal and princely residences with their designated state-rooms were at the centre of this phenomenon. Their decors, particularly during ceremonies, reflected political interests and ambitions that were essential to the image of the prince. By placing a particular emphasis on the decor of those state-rooms, this workshop aims to increase our insights into the relations between the architecture, decoration, and rituals of monarchical power in state-rooms from the late middle ages to the beginning of the early modern period.

  In the framework of the project “Art Nouveau & Ecology” actions, the Réseau ArtNouveau Network, as a network of cities aiming to preserve, study and promote Art Nouveau at a European scale, organises a series of five Historical Labs with the support of theCulture 2007-2013 Programme of the European Commission. The fourth of the series, hosted in Aveiro, will explore the following topic: "Matières premières et Art nouveau".

  O Anuário do Património nasceu em 2012 para criar valor nesta área, com o objectivo de unir todos os intervenientes do sector, através da partilha e divulgação do melhor conhecimento.Editado em parceria pelo Grémio do Património e pela editora Canto Redondo, o Anuário do Património aposta numa base científica forte. À semelhança do anterior, este segundo número será composto por duas partes: um dossiê com artigos técnico-científicos e estudos de caso sobre o tema, previamente avaliados (segundo critérios de qualidade e editoriais) por uma comissão de arbitragem científica constituída para o efeito, (através de arbitragem cega); e uma segunda parte, com listagens detalhadas – o Directório dos Agentes do Sector, concebido como ferramenta de informação e guia de trabalho.

  Raw materials and Art Nouveau

  Le Réseau Art Nouveau Network, réseau de villes visant à préserver, étudier et promouvoir l’Art nouveau à l’échelle européenne, organise un colloque d’une journée le 26 janvier 2013 sur Les matières premières et l’Art nouveau. Dans le cadre du projet Art nouveau & écologie supporté par le programme Culture 2007-2013 de la Commission européenne, une série de cinq laboratoires historiques et un colloque international sont planifiés et organisés par 14 villes et régions européennes: Ålesund (NO), Aveiro (PT), Bad Nauheim (DE), Barcelona (ES), Bruxelles-Brussel (BE), Glasgow (UK), Helsinki (FI), La Chaux-de-Fonds (CH), La Havane (CU), Ljubljana (SL), Nancy (FR), Regione Lombardia (IT), Rīga (LV) et Terrassa (ES).

  Encontra-se aberto concurso para atribuição de uma Bolsa de Investigação [BI/02/2012 – DINÂMIA’CET-IUL] no âmbito do Projecto “Periurban – Áreas peri-urbanas perante os desafios da sustentabilidade: desenvolvimento de cenários para a AML”, financiado por fundos nacionais através da FCT/MCTES. Este projecto de investigação tem como instituição de acolhimento o Instituto Superior Técnico (CESUR/IST/UTL e ICIST/IST/UTL) e como entidades parceiras o ISCTE-IUL (DINÂMIA’CET-IUL) e o Instituto Superior de Agronomia (CEABN/ISA/UTL).   En 2011, lors de la Conférence Avanca | Cinema, 180 chercheurs et/ou membres du milieu académique ont présenté des communications portant sur les recherches les plus récentes en cinéma. Avanca | Cinema constitue ainsi un lieu de rencontre idéal, où les chercheurs des différents continents échangent expériences et information, créant un espace multiculturel et transversal de réflexion et de débat. L'alliance existant entre une atmosphère informelle et la rigueur scientifique a par ailleurs rendu possible l'échange bénéfique d'idées qui s'est vérifié ici.
