The present conference aims to examine the devastating impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on gender equality and quality education, two sustainable goals identified by the UN, and the kind of responses which were triggered as forms of activism, self-expression, and creation of new meanings. Furthermore, it explores the prospects which may be unlocked for future professionals through learning different skills and values which foster equal opportunities for both genders in leadership and in the labour market, eventually and hopefully resulting in an equitable, unbiased, and fair labour culture for all.

El V Congreso Internacional «Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad» está organizado conjuntamente por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y la Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte. Bajo el lema Think Clean, se pretende la puesta en común de resultados de investigaciones científicas y nuevas metodologías en el ámbito del dopaje en el deporte. Desde la perspectiva específica de las ciencias humanas y sociales, creemos que esta iniciativa permitirá conocer los factores que inciden en la utilización de métodos y sustancias dopantes. A partir de este conocimiento esperamos fomentar futuras acciones de prevención y control del dopaje y promover comportamientos éticos en el deporte.

Explorer le génocide des Tutsi au Rwanda

Organized in Rwanda by the Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center. The Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center based in Kigali, Rwanda continues their two/three-week US/Rwanda exchange program in order to deepen students’, researchers’, and artists’ knowledge of the Rwandan genocide. In the last years, the program started in 2004 has enabled teachers and students from Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Afghanistan, Singapore, Mexico, UK, France, Belgium, Spain, and the USA to develop narratives that engage questions of social justice, conflict resolution, and peace building. The program has involved theater artists, filmmakers, academicians, researches, and students from various disciplines and countries, whose practice engages questions of peace building.

Colloque international de clôture de l'équipe ANR « Formasynd »

Les communications devront s’inscrire dans trois axes principaux de réflexion. L’un porte sur la construction et la mise en œuvre de dispositifs de formation dans lesquels les enjeux de la syndicalisation, et plus largement de la diversification des publics-cible du syndicalisme, sont posés. Le second interroge les usages individuels et collectifs qui peuvent être faits de ces formations. Le troisième oriente le regard sur la circulation des savoirs entre les organisations syndicales et d’autres champs de réflexion sur le salariat, le travail et les relations professionnelles. Les propositions de communication d’une longueur maximum de 5000 signes ou 1000 mots rédigées en français ou en anglais sont à adresser aux organisateurs avant le 1er mai 2010 à l’adresse mail suivante : colloque.formasynd@gmail.com.
