  Race in the marketplace (RIM)

  Crossing Critical Boundaries

  Race in the Marketplace (RIM) is an international multidisciplinary research network dedicated to innovatively advancing knowledge and critically understanding the role of race and how it intersects with class, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexuality and disability in global marketplaces. Building on our successful inaugural RIM Research Forum held in Washington D.C in spring 2017, we have decided to broaden the movement across the Atlantic and hold the second biannual RIM Research Forum in Paris (France) from June 25 to June 27, 2019. The broad objective of this second Forum is to continue the dialogue across domains, disciplines and geographical boundaries to contribute to an integrated understanding of race in markets.

  Transition énergétique des sociétés européennes, de la ville au territoire

  L'exemple de l'Allemagne et du Royaume-Uni

  En partenariat avec Electricité de France (EDF), l’Institut d’études avancées (IEA) de Paris recrute deux chercheurs internationaux de haut niveau en sciences humaines et sociales et domaines connexes pour une période de 9 mois chacun, dans le cadre d’un programme de recherche sur la transition énergétique des sociétés européennes, et en particulier l’Allemagne et le Royaume-Uni, de la ville au territoire. L'IEA de Paris offre la possibilité aux chercheurs qu’il accueillera à partir d’octobre 2014 ou janvier 2015, de se consacrer entièrement au développement de leur recherche en bénéficiant d’un environnement scientifique de premier plan, et en établissant des réseaux durables avec les institutions universitaires et de recherche à Paris et dans la Région Île-de-France.

  The 2013 conference theme, "States in Crisis," is an opportunity to ask and answer a broad range of questions about the contemporary state, from its role in and reactions to economic and fiscal crises to the way in which its contours have or have not adapted and changed in concert with the modern economy to its place as a bulwark against or a catalyst for the construction of more market-driven societies.   La vitesse de la conception et la mise en place des écoquartiers est aujourd’hui sans précédant ! Le développement durable trouve enfin son application opérationnelle idéale sur l’espace. Il vise à débattre de la dimension urbaine des grands changements qui touchent actuellement le monde arabe, depuis les origines des épisodes révolutionnaires de 2011 jusqu’aux expériences actuelles de démocratisation, en passant par les phases de transition politique et de crise économique et sociale plus ou moins longues dans lesquelles les États sont encore pris.
