  Gender and education amid Covid-19

  Impacts, responses, and prospects

  The present conference aims to examine the devastating impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on gender equality and quality education, two sustainable goals identified by the UN, and the kind of responses which were triggered as forms of activism, self-expression, and creation of new meanings. Furthermore, it explores the prospects which may be unlocked for future professionals through learning different skills and values which foster equal opportunities for both genders in leadership and in the labour market, eventually and hopefully resulting in an equitable, unbiased, and fair labour culture for all.

  Cultural policies. What's new?

  ICCA International Symposium

  The question of cultural policies and of their convergence towards a single model - or on the contrary of their divergences - arises in a context of globalization. Indeed, many factors encourage convergence: the industrialization of a wide part of cultural activities; the polarization between structures that are both agile and open to digital technologies and more traditional structures; the global market power of GAFAM on three complementary fields : access to culture via search engines, distribution of cultural goods via e-commerce, digitization of cultural goods and services; the importance given to copyright enforcement; the role of the international art market and positioning of museums facing the evolution of this market (especially competition and rise in prices); public / private rebalancing, even in countries where public intervention is predominant.

  Producing concerts, working in live music

  Live music has long been neglected by music scholars; however it is now subject to renewed interest. Recently, researchers have focused on the economics of live music  and the work of musicians. However, the "support personnel" (Becker, 2010) needed in order to produce concerts is still not frequently studied. Little is known about the different occupations (technicians, bookers, programmers) and organizations (festivals, ticket retailers, public funders) required to produce concerts, but also to market live music, and to exploit it in other formats (e.g. live broadcasting, recording). In order to address this gap, this workshop proposes to explore three areas of investigation.

  The role of health and social welfare policies in European inclusion and exclusion processes

  Health risks created by population movement, and policy responses to them, have been an integral part of European history since the early modern period. They have helped to shape wider cultural ideas on economic risks, attitudes to integration, and enlargement of the EU. Twenty first century Europe is addressing new questions and challenges: how to live together, and include new territories and new populations and cultures without compromising our health, both personal and economic. These have contemporary policy implications. Our aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of the cultural heritages and roots of the European welfare model.

  La 15^e conférence internationale sur les migrations se tiendra du 18 au 20 juin 2015 à Dudelange au Luxembourg. Portée par un réseau d'institution germanophone, cette conférence accepte les communications en anglais et en allemand. La thématique retenue cette année porte sur « Migration et genre » et cherchera à faire le point sur la recherche sur les rapports de sexe et de genre dans les migrations. Les perspectives suivantes seront particulièrement appréciées par les organisateurs : approche théorique sur la thématique du genre et des migrations ; représentations publiques et médiatiques du genre et des migrations ; sexualité, corps et identité en contexte de migration ; migration, genre et culture de la mémoire.

Because it is linked to the roles to be played by different actors and stakeholders in the success of the reforms undertake different countries or groups of countries to improve their education and training systems. The Cimqusef'2013 invite speakers and participants to try to answer the questions underlying the issue: ''How the management of change he promotes engagement of stakeholders in the success of the SET reforms?''.
