Contributions of articles for electronic journal Verbum et Lingua

The electronic magazine Verbum et Lingua: Didáctica, lengua y cultura will dedicate its 16th edition (July-December 2020) to the topic of Chican@s studies. Grosso modo, for Ornelas, Ramírez and Padilla (1975), the Chican@s studies have made a great effort to integrate four main constructs: race, class, culture and gender/sexuality. These constructs are present in the work of different artists who express their ideology in order to politicize and lead their community(ies) to change. According to Macias (2018), the Chican@s field of study seeks to make research holistic and multidisciplinary, as well as inclusive, comparative, grounded, up-to-date and critical. At the same time, it seeks to apply the results to social justice, education, as well as to the change of the global Chican@ communities.

Thirty years after the fall of communism in Central and Easter Europe will be marked by the international, multidisciplinary conference called Thirty Years Afert-Post Communism, Democracy and Illiberalism in Central and Eastern Europe, organized by the Faculty of History, Univeristy of Bucharest and its network of academic partners. We would like to invite scholars in History, Political Science, International Relations, Economics or any other related fields to an international conference about the way in which the fall of communism and its inheritance profoundly marked the evolution of Central and Easter countries in the past thirty years.

Ce numéro de la revue Éthique en éducation et en formation examinera les questions de formation des enseignants en lien avec les politiques nationales (neutralité, laïcité, multiculturalisme...), mais il pourrait aussi inclure des textes sur la formation à l'éducation au vivre-ensemble, de manière plus large, par exemple, la formation des enseignants au dialogue, au règlement de conflits, etc., ou encore à travers différentes disciplines. Historical Development of National Systems of Elite Formation in Eastern and Central Europe

This workshop is bringing together specialists from mostly Eastern Europe together with some West European partners, capable and liable of sharing their localised research expertise in the study of the birth and initial development of national systems of elite training in a number of (mostly but not exclusively) small East Central European societies. All of them have very concrete empirical research agendas and records in these fields, but separately, applied to their own national societies. The idea of the meeting is born from the need of and the interest in comparing – in many thematic issues term by term – research findings, insights and questions gained from studies of the training, career and activities of various East European elite groups during the decades up to the Soviet take-over.

The aims of the Roskilde International Summer School are threefold: 1. to help students grasp and critically engage with the notions of identity and interculturality and see how they are related; 2. to get to know various research methods that can help students to work within cultural and social complexity; 3. to discuss their own research topics and to get to test various research tools that can help them to move on in/improve their research. Le réseau européen sur l’insertion des jeunes (Transition in Youth Network) a pour objectif de faire avancer les connaissances théoriques et empiriques sur l’insertion des jeunes en Europe et dans le monde. Le dix-septième Workshop en septembre 2009 sera organisé à l’Université de Bourgogne et plus précisément à l'IREDU (UMR 5225) sur le thème de différents risques auxquels doivent faire face les jeunes sur le marché du travail. Les questions de flexibilité, de précarité et de mauvaises adéquations entre formation et emploi seront centrales, même si d'autres thèmatiques peuvent être proposées. Appel à communications pour le 24 avril (langue de travail du workshop : anglais).
