"Keep it simple, make it fast" Summer School
The Summer School Gettin’ Underground Together! will offer an opportunity for all students (bachelor, master, doctorate, postdoctoral students), including those staying on for the conference, to attend specialist master classes and discuss their research work in seminars led by top academics in the field. It is also the possibility of deepening both theoretical and methodological questions in both proximity and dialogue with some of the main world references of the urban musical scenes.

KISMIF International Conference 2015
The submission of papers for this conference is open to academic researchers working in all areas of sociology, anthropology, history, cultural economics, geography, urban planning, media and cultural studies and cognate disciplines, including design, illustration musicology, popular music and visual and performing arts. This initiative follows the great success of the first KISMIF conference (held in July, 2014). The stimulating scientific program of the conference will be accompanied by a social program in the form of art and music in action providing a unique and enriching experience of underground music scenes in the city of Porto and elsewhere in the world.

This panel intends to examine firstly the place of public policies (or lack thereof) through the role of government and regulatory bodies, and secondly, concrete practices and trends of mobile applications and mobile uses for development (mHealth, mEducation, mEconomics, mAgriculture etc.). Papers should focus on constraints, opportunities, practical experiences of various formal and informal groups of mobile application development.

Urban Networks and the Printing Trade in Early Modern Europe (15th-18th century)
L’imprimerie, depuis son apparition au milieu du XVe siècle, a imprégné la culture occidentale d’Ancien Régime et conquis l’espace urbain. Le typographe est en effet le point de convergence d’une série de circuits intellectuels, industriels et commerciaux. Dans le prolongement des réflexions méthodologiques et historiographiques menées en histoire urbaine et dans le cadre de l’histoire du livre, ce colloque, organisé à la Bibliothèque royale de Belgique (Bruxelles) le 6 novembre 2009, a pour ambition de porter un regard nouveau sur l’identité urbaine du médiateur culturel qu’est l’imprimeur. Dans quel environnement évolue-t-il? Qu’en est-il de son assise spatiale et sociale? Existe-t-il des spécificités, des continuités, des processus régissant l’organisation des rapports entre l’imprimeur et les élites urbaines?
