  Intersections. New perspectives for public humanities

  HFC-INT 2020

  The international network Humanities for Change, in accordance with the interdisciplinary spirit and the contaminatory approach that characterize its activities, intends to organize a day of study on the theme of public humanities. The meeting aims to stimulate some reflections coming from different fields of knowledge and to encourage the dialogue between researchers on the possibilities of the humanities to escape from academic circles. In this sense, the main object of study is the analysis of methodologies and tools related to knowledge dissemination practices for historical, artistic and philological-literary disciplines. Particular attention will also be given to new professional figures connected to the degree courses of the humanities faculties (such as the 'public historian') and to the interactions of these professional figures with the new media of communication and mass dissemination.

  The international conference The Museum Reader, organised by the Art History Institute of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and the National Museum of Contemporary Art – Museu do Chiado, aims to propose thematic lines and noteworthy points to stimulate thought, reflection and debate of new realities, practices and working conditions identified in museums in the 21^st century.

  Le football et l'Europe

  Dans quelle mesure le football participe-t-il à la construction de l'identité européenne ?

  Appel à contribution pour le colloque « Y a-t-il un football européen ? » qui se déroulera le vendredi 7 mai 2010 à l'Université Paris Descartes. Quinze ans après l'arrêt Bosman, l'idée d'un « football national » en Europe semble plus que jamais dépassée. Parallèlement à l'ouverture des frontières, la suppression des quotas de joueurs en provenance de l'Union européenne a modifié considérablement le paysage du football. Des voix se sont même élevées contre cette réglementation accusée d'avoir « tué » les petits championnats et permis aux grands clubs, mieux dotés, d'asseoir leur hégémonie. Par ailleurs, on ne compte plus les exemples de clubs alignant des équipes constituées pour moitié, voire en totalité de joueurs d'origine étrangère, ni les clubs voire les sélections nationales entraînées par des coachs étrangers (Capello en Angleterre...).
