Les relations Europe-Arabie (XIXe-XXIe siècle)

Ce colloque international s’intéressera aux liens entre l’Europe et la péninsule Arabique à l’époque contemporaine, depuis les débuts de la mondialisation de l’âge industriel jusqu’aux derniers développements économiques et stratégiques contemporains. Leur comparaison ainsi que l’étude du contenu et de l’évolution des échanges sont un moyen de mieux comprendre ce qui relie l’Europe et la péninsule Arabique. Pour étudier à la fois le contenu des échanges et leur évolution, deux axes seront privilégiés : les relations culturelles et scientifiques en lien avec l’évolution des regards mutuels du XIX^e au XXI^e siècle ; l’évolution des relations économiques du XIX^e au XXI^e siècle.

This book will aim to provide identified and relevant proposals of good practices to promote the outcomes and favor the issues of Higher Education providers; proposals that integrate all stakeholders dialogic expectations (the clients: trainers, trainees, companies and society) in a resolutely innovative optical within the sense of sustainability and the EFQM Excellence model. Within theoretical results into perspective by the concrete practice work, clues will be presented to help quality through design process, pedagogy, organization and management for WIL in Higher Education. Value management principles and standards are considered as a global framework to develop such trainings to achieve success in a European Environment (European Standards and Guidelines) but not only: facing uncertainties and constraints. Obviously strategy, policy and leadership have to be considered.

Are we observing a phenomenon of transfers, mutations or creations? If the development of tourism inChina and India has been studied for several years, its development in Indonesia still requires an in-depth analysis. What are the effects on the Indonesian society, whose distinctiveness comes from the diversity of its people, cultures, and religions, throughout its 17,000 islands, from Sumatra to Papua?

Would it be possible to question the emergence of an Asian space of business law, not only from the exclusive standpoint of legal norms but from the standpoint of the actors themselves and their legal practices?

Comparative Research on Subnational Industrial Policies

This seminar will bring together scholars examining research themes pertaining to the evolution of production models in regions of India and China, in relation to the progressive opening of these large economies to trade and FDI. Of particular interest are industrial and innovation policies emerging at the state or provincial level and the manner in which these public policies interact with firm-level strategies in pursuit of more broad-based development goals. Apart from the keynote session, five thematic sessions are planned: Upgrading Regional Industries in India and China; Subnational Industrial Policies in India and China; Social Dimensions of Regional Industrial Performance; Articulating industrial policies between central and local levels; Industrial Districts and Regional Policies.

Organized by UMR 201, RUME India, Mexico, Madagascar, CIESAS (Mexico) (www.rume-rural-microfinance.org). The main purpose of this interdisciplinary workshop will be a theoretical and empirical examination of over-indebtedness from the perspective of southern countries, with the following underlying hypothesis: to define and analyze the process of indebtedness requires first an understanding of the complexity and diversity of debt relationships. The following questions might be addressed: 1) The social meaning of debt, creditworthiness and over-indebtedness. 2) Financial ‘markets’ and financial providers. 3) Financial culture. 4) Impoverishment and accumulation. 5) Over-indebtedness.
