Le séminaire d’histoire de l’Europe du Centre d’histoire de sciences po (CHSP) est pour la deuxième année consécutive dédié à l’étude des musulmans dans les sociétés européennes aux époques moderne et contemporaine. Il s’organise autour du projet ESLAM (European Societies in the Light of Apolitical Muslims) et s’adresse aux chercheurs confirmés, aux jeunes chercheurs et aux étudiants en master en histoire et en sciences sociales.

In a broader perspective than that, strictly, of international business law or even of international trade law, this 5th international conference in the Kazakh-Franco-Korean series, aims to mobilise analyses drawing from legal sciences and the social sciences at large. International economic law encompasses both public law and private law, holistically, by contrast with academic traditions, for example French, where this duality of public and private law acts as a summa divisio of law scholars and research institutes.

Le crime de sorcellerie en débat
Définitions, réceptions et réalités (XIVe-XVIe siècle)
La multiplication des travaux ces dernières décennies dans le champ des witchcraft studies a permis de profondément renouveler les approches et les modèles d’étude de la répression de la sorcellerie à la fin du Moyen Âge et au début de l’époque moderne. Par là même, la recherche a grandement précisé les modalités et les configurations (idéologiques, politiques et doctrinales) qui concourent à la genèse de la « chasse aux sorcières ». La recherche a également montré que la répression de la sorcellerie pouvait revêtir des formes très différentes en fonction des contextes et des espaces envisagés, des sources étudiées et des objectifs prêtés à celle-ci, soulignant ainsi l’extrême plasticité de l’accusation de sorcellerie et des catégories de ce crime. Les journées d’étude se proposent ainsi d’orienter les réflexions et les discussions autour de trois axes principaux : la définition du crime de sorcellerie, ses différentes réceptions et la question de sa réalité.

Cette neuvième conférence propose d’interroger la construction de la normalité et, plus globalement, le système de pensée qui structure nos sociétés, selon lequel être « valide » serait la norme, au double sens de la situation la plus répandue et la plus souhaitable. Cette perspective critique entend ainsi mettre en évidence la manière dont nos sociétés sont structurellement construites en référence à cette figure de l’individu valide. Si l’injonction récente à construire des sociétés inclusives semble signaler un tournant radical, qu’en est-il concrètement ? En a-t-on réellement fini avec les représentations tendanciellement négatives, défectives, voire tragiques, du handicap ? Les figures « héroïsées » du handicap, devenues omniprésentes dans l’espace public, ne prolongent-elles pas (en les inversant) ces approches du handicap comme écart à la norme ?

The results of good science are supposed to be true everywhere and at any time: replicability is traditionally considered a ground of the epistemic authority of modern science. However, in somecases (especially in biomedical, social and psychological studies), important published scientific findings have failed to replicate. What does this say about scientific practices? What are the causes and significance of this “replicability crisis”? And how should scientific communities, scientific institutions, policy makers and the general public react to it? The workshop will explore these multifaceted issues by combining philosophical, sociological and legal perspectives.

The theme of this first edition of the Biennal Congress, of an international and interdisciplinary nature, is devoted to labour transformations and aims to discuss theoretical and empirical explanations of the changing nature of labour organization and labour regimes in the contemporary period, from 1850 to 1945.

This Summer School invites to test digital tools and methods for oral history and stresses how digital oral sources contribute to narratives in European Integration History.

Blasphemy and violence. Interdependencies since 1760
Liberas (Ghent, Belgium), in conjunction with the School of History, Religion and Philosophy at Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, United Kingdom) and the Leibniz Institute of European History (Mainz, Germany), organises an international colloquium devoted to the interdependency between blasphemy and violence in modern history. Both young and established scholars will focus on specific incidents of blasphemy and sacrilege in Europe and the Arab world.The eve preceding the conference (4 March), internationally renowned expert Alain Cabantous will give a keynote lecture in French on blasphemy and sacrilege during the French Revolution.
